Brought my S500 in for service. When I was picking it up I noticed the left from fender and bumper were damaged and the inside of the car was full of grease. First they denied everything but when the servic I noticed the left from fender and bumper were damaged and the inside of the car was full of grease. First they denied everything but when the service writer was called into the conversation he did admit that I made it a point to show him that the car was in mint condition when brought in. They repainted my bumper and fender bit it never matched. The service manager finally told me directly that it really wasn't a good paint job from the repair ship. They repainted it again but it still looks lousy. I just got fed up and left. They are VERY BAD PEOPLE wth a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. While waiting in the service dept. there were many people with complaints there. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. More
kinda weird reading some of the comments on here about this dealer. I've had nothing but the best experiences here, this is the 4th mercedes i've bought here and i've shopped around everytime (you still this dealer. Competing dealers are also friendly but too big for their roots (Rallye). I had to service my flat tire there and it took 5 hours to complete. They wouldnt giver me a loaner because they saw I bought from Helms. They may have had a better shot next e-class if they treated me right. Anyhow, Helms has done me right so i definately recommend. More
a mb dealer that turns down service work on a car with 100,000 miles is unacceptable. i buy used mb cars and i want to have them maintained in top shape and doing so can only be a good thing for all mb de 100,000 miles is unacceptable. i buy used mb cars and i want to have them maintained in top shape and doing so can only be a good thing for all mb dealers and customers as it helps keep the image up and maintain values for anyone who purchases mb cars. there are many good cars out their and kicking us to the curb just because we dont have a new mb is just putting another nail in their coffin. I'm glad you guys were even able to buy a M/B from them. When I went there to see an E series car, no one would even acknownledge me; there were a least 2 salesmen there talking to each other doing nothing. So, I just walked around the show room waiting & left after 20 minutes without being helped. After going to Helms Bros. I totally understand why many people in NYC are unwilling to do business with them. They are all Very high & mighty arrogant salespeople with attitude problems. Now I know why consumers are turning to the Japanese makes like Infinity & Lexus. After Helms Bros. I switched my desire for a M/B and looked at the Audi. At the end I bought an Audi Allroad from a dealer in New Jersey off of route 78 that had great salespeople, salesmanger, and a great service dept. who treated their customers with respect. Hey Helms Bro. don't look at customers by what they wear or what cars they drive up it to your dealership, because us sneaker & t-shirt wearing guys may have money to buy that car of yours outright. Person answering the phone for sales told me my target price was realistic, and dealership was motivated, so it would be worth my while to drive an hour to the dealership. The sales manager, Jennifer, was rude, and treated me as though I was trying to rip them off. Supposedly her pre-owned cars were top of the line. Two days after receiving the car, I noticed a small chunk out of the front tire, glove box lock missing, cup holder missing chrome ring, and a noise coming from steering. Luckily a dealership closer to me (Nanuet, NY) repaired/replaced all items except the tire under warranty. The new tire was $200. The sales person David at Helms Bros. was very nice/helpful, but I would never purchase from this dealership again. More
