Tom – We certainly aren’t perfect, but this review is so full of inaccuracies we need to respond… First and foremost, we are sorry that you experienced some electrical problems related to a battery cable and accessory wiring a few days after your purchase. That is why (upon learning of your problem), we immediately drove to Chicago (3 hours one way) to pick the truck up and left you a truck to drive – because we wanted to help. We immediately put your truck in the shop and found that some accessory snow-plow wiring (that you had previously asked us to keep on the truck) was causing the issue. We explained we needed to remove it (this angered you because you “might want to put a snow plow on in the future”) so we offered to correctly wire your truck for a snow plow (should you ever buy one in the future) at no cost to you. We ordered the necessary parts to fix this and your camera and installed them the day they arrived (there was no “run around” and this did not take “a week of phone calls”). Upon learning that we ordered the correct parts to fix your truck – you insisted that instead, we “take the truck back and give me my money back”. That isn’t how it works – whether you have a problem 3 day, 3 months or 3 years after you purchase a truck, we are here to help, but that doesn’t entitle you to demand a return and a refund. It entitles you to prompt, courteous and professional help – which we provided without any fight. To be clear, we only made you an offer to purchase your truck because you refused to let us return it until we told you how much we would pay for it. I believe your exact comment was “thanks, that’s more than I thought you would offer, but I decided I want to keep the truck”. We immediately put our drivers on the road to return your truck (and pick up our loaner truck) at the address you gave us. Our driver was held up in traffic and you left (understandable if you had an appointment, but don’t blame that on us – we were only doing what you asked us to do, when you asked us to do it). As we previously explained – this review isn’t going to force our hand to “pay you” (that’s called extortion) – what it does do is give us the opportunity to show anyone reading the review the important facts – when you encountered a problem, we immediately went in to action to fix it – at as minimal of an inconvenience to you as possible. We quickly and professionally worked to help you regardless of your continued attempts to use the unfortunate situation as some sort of bargaining chip. Sorry again that your truck had a problem shortly after purchase – we sincerely did our best to make the best of a bad situation.
