My experience with Heiser was good, but not great. I had the misfortune of totally losing my keys including the only one to my SUV, so I had to have my vehicle towed there to have a replacement key created the misfortune of totally losing my keys including the only one to my SUV, so I had to have my vehicle towed there to have a replacement key created and a remote programmed. Since my vehicle was going to be there anyway, I decided to have my broken door handle problem taken care of, so I added that task to the work order. All of my phone interactions were pleasant, when I arrived everyone I came into contact with was friendly, and the location appeared very clean. With one exception, every staff person was wearing a protective face mask. I provided my title, photo ID, and the replacement part I ordered online. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I paid and received my keys (yaaay!) and a receipt along with my copy of the work order, but when I attempted to open the passenger side rear door that had the new handle installed- it wouldn’t budge. My husband pulled and jerked but it was not opening still. Since everyone in the service department was gone for the day, I’d have to come back the following day, When we arrived my two young children and I sat in the designated waiting area for about 10-15 minutes. A staff member came to sanitize the area and seemed to notice the campaign ad playing on the television. He took the opportunity to voice his opinions to another customer in conversation, in which my 7-year-old daughter and I heard him say that Democrats are pedophiles. I tried to redirect her attention while the staff went on and on, looking in my direction so as to invite me to join the conversation. Super awkward moment! I was glad when a member of the service team came. He explained that the door handle that I ordered for my online is not a certified GM part and for that reason, it is not going to perform as desired. He gave me the option to order a $95 door handle and have it installed. My only issue was that the service people said nothing if this Friday when I had my vehicle towed there or Monday when I came to pick my vehicle up and it wouldn’t open. I would have appreciated not having to go through the frustration, time wasting, and extra driving. Prompt and clear communication from the parts and service people could have avoided my disappointment, and I probably would have sent the inferior person back and gotten a refund before paying for labor to install and later remove it, to have a better handle installed. ELEVEN TIMES my car was in the shop from roughly 22 feb to roughly 25 june, same year. Same problem. Every time I brought my car in, they looked at me like I was crazy. Maam theres nothing wrong with your car. I'd bring it back a few days later. Same thing. I finally told them i dont have time for this. I really dont. Between my job and my special needs child needing everlast ounce of attention from me, I really dont have time to keep bringing my car to the dealership unless there was really something wrong with it. All in all, I traded it in for a 2020 ford ecosport on 26 june. Will NEVER buy GM again. Will NEVER buy from heiser (any brand vehicle). Will NEVER use their repair shop again. Done. Their financial adviser also took a week to get back to me, prior to me saying forget about it with chevy. More

Several months ago I had an expensive repair of a steering component. More recently I had an appointment for an unrelated item when Heiser found the steering component leaking again.
