Not very thorough. Scheduled a service appointment to take care of check engine light codes, engine leaks, TPMS sensors, and a few other items. I expressed multiple tim Scheduled a service appointment to take care of check engine light codes, engine leaks, TPMS sensors, and a few other items. I expressed multiple times to the service agent that the check engine code was the primary concern and what I wanted done first since it was sputtering and an immediate drivability concern. At first they told me they did not see an issue and could not get the codes to fire up. Later they told me they were able to get the codes to appear and that the fix was replacing ignition coils and spark plugs. I told them I would replace the coils and plugs. After bringing the car home and replacing the coils and plugs (with OEM parts) the car still runs rough and the check engine light would not clear so I called the service advisor and let them know the situation. The advisor told me that I would have to pay another diagnostic fee despite assurances that they had troubleshot the problem in the first place because “they didn’t charge me a diagnostic fee for the check engine light.” While it’s true I was never charged for the check engine light code diagnostic, it still showed up on my bill that the service was performed, which I took as a gesture of goodwill since we had other more expensive (but less important) work performed. Just doesn’t seem to be a good practice to tell a customer a service was performed and not do a thorough job (whether I was charged or not). Also the communication was quite lacking for the entire time my car was being serviced, despite understandable complications. I usually get better service at my usual dealership I take my car to, but decided to take a chance with Heartland Toyota because they are closer and I assumed I would get the same level of service since it’s a Toyota dealership. I will definitely be much more reluctant and cautious of doing business with Heartland Toyota in the future. More

I had and outstanding service. Jamie took care of me. She had a great personality and knew what she was doing. Checked my truck out with her IPad and checked my vin number.
