They noticed a small issue with the gas door hinge - had it on order before I even got to the car to notice it. Also had a minor issue with paint chip on door, service manager took care of it immediately! Highly recommend! And you get snacks and water while waiting for service. More

You need to storm out to get a good deal My purchase experience at Headquarter Hyundai started out bad, then turned around into a great experience. I dealt with three people in the purchase of my 2020 Veloster Turbo Ultimate. My experience started out with me arriving to the dealership and being greeted by Michael D’Agostino. Michael took some extra information as we discussed which car I wanted. The specific trim I was interested in wasn’t available at the dealership, so I test drove a Veloster 2.0 Premium. This allowed me to get a feel for the interior, though the turbo and 2.0 drive styles are very different. I was interested in leasing the car and had already done a lot of research from Hyundai’s website. I knew what the MSRP was and what my trade-in was worth. I was shocked when the sales manager, Maurice Smith, came back with a monthly cost of almost $200/month more than what was shown on Hyundai’s site ($286/month). The price was bumped up by a $1,836 dealer installed equipment fee (nitrogen filled tires, etc.) and the known $780 dealer fee. I negotiated back and forth with Maurice regarding my trade-in and removing the dealer installed items. He informed me that this car was rare and that it was a $30,000 car, so he didn’t know what I was expecting. I told him I was expecting the price to be closer to the MSRP. Maurice again let me know that this car was hard to find, etc. The way he was speaking to me was in a very condescending manner, as though I was insane to think I could get the car for around $300 a month. It was at this point I decided to leave, I asked Maurice where my keys were and that I was done. He replied that he didn’t want my keys and they were on the front desk. I left the dealership and was in my car reversing out of the parking space. In my rear-view mirror, I see a man in a tie running out of the doors telling me to stop. I get out of the car and meet David Castro, the desk manager. He asks me if we can get a deal would I sign. Absolutely, that’s what I’m here to do, but I’m not going to be taken advantage of. While walking back into the dealership I explained to David (with Maurice walking next to us) that Maurice kept informing me of the rarity of the car in a way that was trying to justify the higher cost of the car. David and I entered one of the perimeter offices and he asked to see what the Hyundai site showed. After showing David exactly what I entered, he left the office for about 3 minutes and came back with a deal that I was looking for ($308/month). I was very happy, but at the same time very mad. Why did I have to storm out of the dealership to get a fair deal? Was it because I look younger, or maybe I wasn’t taken seriously at first? I can’t say for sure, but the fact that the “walk away” is still a thing in 2019 is sad. I told David that I hope next time it won’t take me storming out to get a fair deal (unfortunately I’m sure it will be required). Michael called me Saturday morning to let me know the car came in from Miami and was ready, it was like Christmas. I went to the dealership and saw the car, it was BEAUTIFUL. While I’m looking at the car, Maurice Smith came out and said “See, I got it done for you!”. My blood boiled, I let him know that it was not him who “got this done” but it was David Castro giving me a fair deal that did. Maurice didn’t understand why I was upset. He let me know that he had to work out trading with the other dealership for the car (I thought that was part of his job). I apologized for my rudeness and thanked him for his part in getting the car here. Michael and I finished everything up and I drove off in my new 2020 Veloster Turbo Ultimate. I can’t say enough great things about Michael D’Agostino and David Castro. Maurice Smith on the other hand needs to be coached on how to speak with customers and to not seek praise for doing his job, especially after driving a customer to storm out of the dealership. If it wasn’t for the need to storm out to get a deal, I would have given the dealership five stars instead of four. More

A Decent Dealer experience Overall I will rate my time at the dealership an 8.5 out of 10. I would have rated a 9.5 but they did one thing that upset me (but was quickly fixed). Overall I will rate my time at the dealership an 8.5 out of 10. I would have rated a 9.5 but they did one thing that upset me (but was quickly fixed). I stopped by the dealer on a Thursday night and took a 2015 Sonata for an extended test drive. Before I even went to the dealer I called and talked to the internet sales person and told them I had searched Hyundai’s official website for a certified pre-owned Sonata and located two options, one at their dealership with 49k miles lister for $12.5k and another at Orlando Hyundai with 51k miles for $10,900. I asked if they could price match another cpo car with similar features and miles from another dealership. They stated they could so I stopped by their dealer. Fast forward to Friday morning I come in and they presented me with their price, it is not priced matched even though I gave them all the information in 24 hours to get everything set up. When they showed me the price I wanted to get my old car and drive to Orlando Hyundai to get the same car for a lower price. I gave them one opportunity to fix the price and match the other dealership and they were able to. It just rubbed me the wrong way that I went out of my way to confirm they can do it when I talked to the internet sales team, provided them the details from the other dealer and they didn’t use the time I gave them. Other then that issues the rest of the process was very smooth and the sales person “Tony” was friendly and did his best to get the dealer to work with me in the price of the car. More
