Headquarter Honda responded

William, we apologize that you had to make a second trip to us the next day and our error. Luis Vega, Service Tech Manager, explained to you on that visit, that part of the noise was caused by burnt out bushings. The cause of the noise that remained came from the breaks that could not be seen visually and tires had to be removed, which Luis did to show you. Yes, our technician heard the noise after the bushing work when he drove your Element from the shop. He did do a visual inspection from the outside on the brakes and determined that was not the cause for the noise. He should have completed a more throughout inspection. As an apology, Luis gave you a discount on the brakes, a free oil change and brake fluid flush. You have our most sincere apologize and thanks for coming back and letting us know we needed to correct the situation and allowing us to do so. By doing so, you allow us to mentor our Associates and to be better going forward. Our internal motto is, “The is no best; only better.” We are the best we are today, but we will be better tomorrow.
