We were within $500.00 of what I wanted to make the trade for the van. I feel I got a good product and hope it will serve me for many years to come. After the purchase, Fred helped with cleaning out old car, set up my hands free phone, and showed me every feature so I could know all the wonderful features on the new van. I am an Active duty Military serving in the Army, stationed in Alexandria, VA. Being a huge mopar fan and currently owning a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T, it was only in my blood to purchase the 2012 Dodge stationed in Alexandria, VA. On this journey, I have encountered many impolite, selfish dealers. I was recommended by my brother to the auto trader website, and was told to maybe try that route. After looking at many, many Chargers I put in a few request and quickly became overwhelmed. Hayes Dodge Dealership contacted me from one of my request and immediately stood out from the rest with the politeness and "family-like" approach. Steve Matthews, my sales rep, was one of the sweetest guys I have ever spoken to. With me Being from Louisiana, he reminded me so much of the many kind gentlemen that are instilled in the South. His patience was beyond reproach. He showed great attentiveness to my every question and need. Purchasing online could be scary and quite a hassle, but he made it fairly pleasant. All of my questions and needs were met, the other staff members (Darius Jackson, Stephen Mcdonald) all made this possible. I have never felt so spoiled. I couldn't ask for better service. They gave me everything that i expected and more. I felt like a part of the family, and truly felt as if I was sitting right there in the dealership the entire time. Although the worry will be there (simply because it is online), they definitely put me at ease and comfort. I had no surprises at all, everything that they said was going to happen...indeed happened. All was done in a timely, professional manner. All levels of whom I had to deal with, were just as sweet and caring as the last. Initial experience was good up to the point when they got the money. I ordered a GPS & Hands free upgrade which they had to put on order. It took 6+ weeks and then when it was installed they said it was only the money. I ordered a GPS & Hands free upgrade which they had to put on order. It took 6+ weeks and then when it was installed they said it was only a GPS system that was ordered and thats all I paid for. When I asked them to check the paper work and check if the price matched up to only a GPS system, they never got back to me. I spent ~80K with dodge vehicles over the last 10 year. Unfortunately I have hit my limit here and if I do buy another Dodge it wont be here and I will make sure to be more demanding on the in righting details. If they would have just checked their paper work and showed me I did infact pay the going price for the GPS only, this would have been a closed issues. More
Went to look at a used Dodge Van. I picked the van for my parent`s and told the salesman what my parent would pay. The Hayes Dodge Dealership did not want to negotiate even though my parent`s were payi my parent`s and told the salesman what my parent would pay. The Hayes Dodge Dealership did not want to negotiate even though my parent`s were paying cash. The van was over priced 4,000 above blue book value. We just wanted a lesser price and to be able to negotiate. Negotiation was not even considered. My parent`s had previously bought 3 vans from Hayes. The last van was bought about 11 years ago. The salesman stated that there was no record of my parent`s buying any vans. In other words " being a previous loyal customer does not matter here." Since they would not negotiate, that was the end of the deal for us. The salesman kept calling myself and my mother asking if we would give more money. The salesman was very nice. However, he told my parent`s (who are in their early 70`s) that if they would come and look at the van they would negotiate. When they got there, the used car manager was extremely rude and made it obvious that there would be no negotiation. We do not know his name and that is who really pissed my parent`s off. What they did not know was that my parent`s were considering giving a little more for the van. My father has very bad arthritis and was extremely mad.
