I bought a vehicle at another dodge/Chrysler dealer and from the first week I was so Dissatisfied with the vehicle. When my first oil change approached I decided to go to Hayes to get that done. I was asked how satisfied I was with my suv and I said I hated it. Immediately, someone from sales called me to see what they could do to get me into a car that I loved. Two days later I am in the car of my dreams and its all thanks to the folks at Hayes Chrysler dodge jeep of Gainesville, but especially for the customer service attentions of sales man Jason Prickle. I look forward to having my maintenance and services done at this dealership where everyone treats you with care from the service dept to the sales dept. More
Great Experience Purchasing Ram Truck I needed to trade my Challenger for a Ram 4x4 for a move out west. I contacted Hayes via internet. Matt Eberhardt responded to my email, and we began discussing my needs. He located an excellent truck for the Montana area I am moving to. The price was set forth on the website, so there was no haggling to try to sweeten the deal. I was given a trade-in value that was right where I thought it should be value-wise. There was no pressure from finance to purchase extra "goodies", although they did make me aware of optional warranties, etc. Because of several unexpected events, I had to keep delaying the purchase. Excellent service I went to the dealership to just look. I saw a Honda Accord and I just had to have it. This is the second car I've bought from TOM IN A YEAR AND A HAL I went to the dealership to just look. I saw a Honda Accord and I just had to have it. This is the second car I've bought from TOM IN A YEAR AND A HALF. No pressure and he is very knowledgable. I told him what I was willing to pay and what I would accept for my trade. Tom worked on it and I was on the road with the Honda pretty quickly. I've bought at least 7 cars from Hayes over the years and always believe they treat me fair. I service all my cars at Hayes and there service is excellent. This was the first time I bought another car from the same salesman. It is great that Hayes is able to hold on to their sales staff. It is always better dealing with a familiar face. I will be purchasing a Dodge Charger in a year or two and you can bet that I'll go to Hayes and ask for Tom Chacko. Jim O'Briem More
I purchased a $50000.00 vehicle on 24th of february for which I can not receive title. I am being lied to regarding when the documents were submitted to the state. One person told me the docs were submitte which I can not receive title. I am being lied to regarding when the documents were submitted to the state. One person told me the docs were submitted on the 17th of March (3 weeks after the sale)..and another person told me the docs were submitted on the 27th of march ( over a month since the sale). I can not resale this vehicle without title and the dealership keeps lieing about my title paperwork. Simply a horrible experience. More
Slimy Sales Tactics I thought to make a simple purchase and give the sales associate an easy sale. I researched the vehicle that I wanted to purchase and even had the LOT I thought to make a simple purchase and give the sales associate an easy sale. I researched the vehicle that I wanted to purchase and even had the LOT #s of the ones that I wanted to look at. I called and spoke with the sales manager about 2 weeks prior to my visit to discuss the vehicle as I was only willing to pay a certain amount for it and would he agree to the price that I was offering(which was I was not willing to pay more than $18,000). HE AGREED!!! So off I went with the lot #s in hand to make my purchase with no hassle. Got to the dealership and met with the sales associate, I explain that I had spoken with the manager and that he had agreed to no more than $18,000. He of course went to check and came back and said yes that is what I had been told and that it was fine. I then told him that I had my own financing, that is when it all went awry, he explained that I would lose one of the incentives so it would be $1000 more. Well ok, a bit of a let down but still lets proceed. He then starts with the, "Oh, you will get a much better deal if you finance with us". I said no, $19,000 was fine with my financing, and again he starts about their financing, he then is going to print out both and let me see how much I would save. He brings the print outs to the desk and the starting price was the same but that was it and it theirs wasn't the $18,000 I had been told nor was the "cash" the $19,000 I had been told it would be. When I questioned it, he then says (not even 10 minutes later) that the manager had not told me $18,000. At which point I questioned the other that was supposed to be $1,000 more and it was $3,000 more. He had no answer!!!!! So needless to say, I left without purchasing and I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of how I was treated. It saddens me greatly that when my boyfriend purchased his their less than 3 months ago from the same associate he was treated with respect and had no arguments with the same set of rules (i.e. this is what I will pay, we can do it or not). To think that women are still treated differently by car dealers is a very sad thing in 2014. Especially since I am well educated in my cars and how to even fix my own!!!!! More
I checked out 3 dealers near my home including Hayes and received very different results. John initially worked with my wife to help her identify a vehicle , pick out colors, and demo the vehicle capabilities. Within a few days ,we got a call saying the exact vehicle she wants is available. At no time did the dealer try to "move" the lot inventory, they simply found the car my wife wanted. I got involved during the purchase process which was a one and done experience, no haggle. John then spent more time with my wife explaining any remaining questions about the car post purchase. I noticed he handled several other customers while with us in a seamless way that took care of his other customers without interrupting our transaction. Very professional. From a deal perspective, be weary of discount prices tied to financing. At Hayes I got the full discount plus market financing. For my finance amount, every point would swing the cost a 1000 dollars. Other dealers were essentially eliminating the discount by taking back in the finance office. The finance mgr who was also good , took my 1.9 ask and bettered it to 1.09 using their contacts, I brought 1.79 into the dealer from my source.
