The following comment does not have anything to do with the recent experience or on any Hayes employee - I am concerned but not worried about the 2012 Jeep Patriot that we purchased in that there have been at least 10 or more complaints filed with the NHTSA, within the past 6 months, 2011 & 2012 Patriots regarding stalling. I will consider to follow for updates on the internet using this term: Jeep Patriot Stalling. I realize this model vehicle is the least expensive in the SUV line. As a result, I will seriously consider purchasing an extended warranty. More
I listed my overall experience as "great". That would not at all have been the case if it was not for Tyler. He is the only reason for the mark. Being a former Quality Director it is real hard for me to ever list anything at the highest level. This is the forth car I have bought from Hayes. You need to get your online offer estimate and your I house offer closer..in my case online trade offer was 10,500, in house you first offer was 6,000. Jason redid the offer and got me 8,000. I have purchased 4 cars and my parents purchased 2 cars form Hayes dealerships. Each car purchase went smoothly, no gimics or hassles. I felt like a very valued customer and was treated with respect. First, I was told over the phone that I would receive 4000 to 4500 for my trade-in. After I drove 7 hours to the dealership, because they had the best price, I was told 3500 because of a VERY TINY dent i 4000 to 4500 for my trade-in. Since they knew I wouldn't drive home empty handed they came up to 4000. The KBB value of my vehicle was 4975. I showed up at the dealership at 11am after leaving at 4am in the morning. The afternoon before I left I was told that the paperwork would be all taken care of except for the value of my trade, which was again, supposed to be 4000 to 4500. I was also told nothing about the fact that I needed an updated title showing my lien was paid off and that my lien release wasn't good enough. I got a sob story from the manager about how difficult it was for him to get a title for a different customers vehicle he had on the lot which led me to spend an hour on the phone with the lien holders while sitting in the dealership when they could've taken care of it themselves. Basically, it seemed that they were just being lazy. Mind you, this is after I drove 7 hours to get there. While I was on the phone with the lien holder, NO one decided they should get the paperwork together for me to sign. By the time they did, I was finally out of there by 2:30pm. A little simple math would show you I sat there and waited for them for 3 and a half hours, and I still had to drive 7 hours to get back home. While driving home I realized that the salemam forgot to give me my cordless head phones for the DVD players and the remote. I bought a Van. You would think in all THAT time they would have made sure everything was the way it was supposed to be before I drove it home. The only positive part of my experience is at least they didn't jack up the price when I got there. More
