This was the third time in for the same issue ( I.e Service air bag warning light comes on intermittently) First time in I had to show the service department that it was covered under a technical serv Service air bag warning light comes on intermittently) First time in I had to show the service department that it was covered under a technical service bulletin.12/5/2019.. That time it was a rear seat connector. Next time in 3/18/2021 they charged me $160 for diagnostics and said problem was both side air bags have high resistance estimate ~$2200 to fix. Escalated to GM. They arrange thru Brooke to have re-diagnosed at no charge. Now they say it’s driver side air bag and pretensioner at estimate of $1450. When I asked was the first estimate wrong. all I got was that is what the technician said. So that question was not answered to my satisfaction . No one either at the dealership or GM can tell me if it’s an actual defect with the air bag or bags why the warning light only comes on intermittently? What is one to believe? They have lost all credibility. More
