Great experience, one of the best new car buying experiences I have had in the 20+ years I have been buying 12+ cars. Of the several dealerships worked with, this was the ONLY one that wasn't selling hard, and actually wanted to find the specific car I was looking for. Every other dealership tried very hard to get me in wi one that wasn't selling hard, and actually wanted to find the specific car I was looking for. Every other dealership tried very hard to get me in with "almost" cars, that in fact were missing things that had been specified as required, and pushed hard to change my mind about what i wanted. In contrast, JoeyG worked hard to do the work for me, to search and find the car that precisely fit my specs. The only things that are not perfect with the car are my fault for not understanding better how to describe what i wanted: I wanted a trailer hitch, and didn't realize i needed to also specify having a ball; I wanted a nav system, and got the onstar but didn't realize i needed to be specific that i wanted the GM nav system with the map etc. But they have bent over backwards to correct these, and have been a total pleasure to deal with. More

A young man by the name of Tyler Yaccarino came with me to assist in my purchase and help me through the process. Both Cheri and JR were both excellent in helping me to make the correct choice for my needs. They were very courteous and very well informed and were able to answer all my questions. The car was delivered on time and I am now enjoying driving it . We just recently leased an Equinox from Hawthorne Chevrolet. This is the seventh vehicle we have leased and/or purchased from Hawthorne Chevrolet and each time our salesman was JR Gray. I came in yesterday after my steering column totally went out while I was driving my kids to school. I was assigned to Norman. I had onstar call on my way in and I spoke to a woman who said a loaner car w out while I was driving my kids to school. I was assigned to Norman. After explaining the situation to Norm, I told him how dangerous it was to lose steering capacity and I asked him if this is a "typical" issue with such a young car. He was very "matter of fact" and responded with a comment that machines break, what can you do. After asking him to let me know how long it would be, I waited an hour. When called into his office he indicated that my front tires needed replacement along with my front brakes. But in any case, the steering column needed to be replaced. While waiting for my husband to call me back, I asked for a loaner car to get home (because I knew the steering column would take 2-21/2 hours). He told me there was no loaner car and that her could possibly get me a rental car and If I ended up getting the brakes and tires, he could waive the rental fee. Miraculously, a loaner became available and I left. at 4;45 I called to find out the status of my repair. He told me it was done, but I couldn't pick up until the next day because it needed to bleed. I asked him why he didn't tell me this eariler( because I had to leave very early the next day for the airport) and his response was, "because I just found out myself." When I asked him what time I could pick up the car in the morning, he said 7am...The car was ready, but on my way in I had a message from a technician who told me I couldn't pick my car up until 830 or 845! Norm did not bring the car to me or even step out to speak with me. I am disgusted with the way I was treated and will go to another dealership when my lease is up. More
