Very Accommodating and Helpful Service Dept. A while back, our 2014 Subaru Forester experienced a minor electrical issue after having my battery replaced at another Auto Shop. Apparently, there A while back, our 2014 Subaru Forester experienced a minor electrical issue after having my battery replaced at another Auto Shop. Apparently, there must have been a surge on the electrical system during battery replacement as I now had a 'Check Engine' light illuminated and starting my car seemed delayed when turning the ignition switch. The Auto Shop being busy could not look at it right away, saying it should reset after a few starts, but come back if that doesn't take care of it. Unfortunately, the issue did not correct itself and I believed there was something else probably going on, so I decided to take it to my local Hawk Subaru Dealership hoping they could look at it even though I did not have an appointment. When I pulled into the Service Area, the Asst. Service Manager greeted me asking what was the problem I was having with car. After listening he replied with, "we should be able to look at it for you, but let me check with my Mechanic's first to see where they're at on the other service repairs." After waiting just a few minutes they asked for the keys and drove it back to check it out. I don't recall the total time to repair and resolve the issue after troubleshooting but it was probably close to just 40 - 45 minutes or so. They also performed a brake light switch replacement covered under a 'Campaign 90 Repair Notice. When I inquired about the cost to repair, they cut me a break and gave me a more than reasonable repair cost, explaining what they had found along with performing a minor service recall and returned the car to me freshly washed as well. I greatly appreciated the Hawk Subaru Service Dept. accommodating me on short notice and decided to have them do all my Subaru service from that point on, which they have. After seeing a 0% Financing promotion some months later on 2020 Foresters, we decided to trade our 2014 model for the latest 2020 Forester Sport and have not looked back. I have to state that the two major factors on our purchase from the Shorewood Hawk Subaru was the willingness of the Sales Team to work with us, along with our satisfaction on the quality of service previously provided by the Hawk Subaru Service Department. Being loyal Subaru owners for many years, we are very pleased overall with Shorewood Hawk Subaru! . More

Recall Service I was given an appointment within 3 days. I was greeted as soon as I pulled in and asked if I would be leaving or waiting for the car. I waited and it took 30 minutes less than the 1 and 1/2 hours I had expected. The waiting room was clean and chairs were appropriately distanced. The gentleman who took care of me was extremely polite and pleasant. He gave me his name and direct number in the event that I had any problems. More
