PUSHERS! My visit was for a routine oil change. Which even with a scheduled appointment, took almost 2 hours. No other service other than a oil change. 2 hours! I was provided a whole laundry list of th even with a scheduled appointment, took almost 2 hours. No other service other than a oil change. 2 hours! I was provided a whole laundry list of things my vehicle supposedly needed. One recommendation was, I informed my rear windshield wiper was streaking. I have maybe used the wiper maybe 5 times ever. I declined a replacement. That particular day it was pouring down rain. The first thing I did after waiting 2 hours for my oil change was to test the wiper, even before I pulled out of the parking lot. Not a single streak. As clean as the first time I ever used it. I was also informed my tires were wearing and were cupping. The tires were replaced one year ago, and have less than 18 thousand miles on them. I checked them as well which show no signs of any cupping or wear. Tread looks great. These were two recommendations among others. How can I have confidence in the maintenance team and their honesty, and know I’m not being take for a ride under the hood when these two things, the first two I checked, clearly show no indication of signs of wear or require immediate attention? I need honest mechanics, not a money hungry service department. Prior to my Mazda, I owned a Honda. A Honda that was regularly serviced which lasted over 225+ thousand miles before I traded it in, and it was still running like a champ. No issues. Every vehicle I have ever owned, I have always taken to the dealership for scheduled maintenance to assure it is the manufactures standards. Never once did I feel Honda recommend something I didn’t need or were trying to squeeze money out of me. I felt they always treated me with the upmost honesty. This past experience with Mazda really disappointed me More
