Overall experience with Michael was very good. My boyfriend and I came to look at cars on my birthday and I hadn’t found an SUV that really fit me. Walked in ready to buy and walk away with a new truck. Had a good experience with the sales person showing just about every truck they had on the lot. When it came time to sit down and discuss numbers and Had a good experience with the sales person showing just about every truck they had on the lot. When it came time to sit down and discuss numbers and financing, that’s when what I thought, would take an hour turned into a 5 hour process. The process with the financial agent was very outdated and frustrating. He kept trying to up sell me on warranty, body protection, maintenance, and other crap that I did not want. I could just pay for the truck outright, so it was frustrating that they kept trying to get me to finance the vehicle. The forms were very confusing and being printed on a DOT matrix printer legacy before the digital age. The most important form with the final billing price was so confusing that they couldn’t tell me the correct number that I would need to bring a cashier check back the next day for. Turns out the down payment that I put down that day to hold it until I got the cashiers check had already been taken out of the total, but it was positioned left of every other number on the form. The fact that they could only take 3k from a card, per person, and only a cashiers check, meant I had to spend another 2 hours running back to the bank, making a total of two trips. The most frustrating part of the whole thing was getting passed from one person the next and then being told that the previous person was going to be doing something with me next (e.g. setting up onstar, more forms to fill out, final walk through, etc), and then that person not being available when I was. At one point I had to ask the sales manager what for and why I was waiting so long. His response was that they were short staffed, even though I counted at least 4 employees just standing around shooting the breeze. Overall, the entire process needs to be streamlined and brought into the digital age, and a 5hr customer experience brought into a more reasonable amount of time. More
