The service person was awesome. I came in for an oil change and mentioned that my car wouldn't let me shift out of park on a couple of occasions depending on if it recognized the brake pedal was being p change and mentioned that my car wouldn't let me shift out of park on a couple of occasions depending on if it recognized the brake pedal was being pushed. He showed me a trick to get it unstuck and also looked in the national database for similar reports of the same issue.
