This vehicle was in service at Harte Infiniti. As is customary, after the service we provide a complimentary car wash. After the car was washed, a large patch of paint came off the corner of the bumper. The bumper was inspected and it was found that the bumper had been repainted (not by Harte Infiniti). We looked at the history and found that another Infiniti dealership had replaced and painted the bumper in the recent past. The only reason the paint would peel off so easily in a car wash is if the paint repairs were not completed properly resulting in poor adhesion. This customer was informed that this is not damage but a result of poor workmanship on the part of the infiniti dealership who repaired and painted her bumper. We have attempted to work with this customer to get this resolved, and instructed her to return to the dealership who performed the bumper repair. There is nothing more our dealership can do as we did not complete the repair to the bumper. Please feel free to contact me directly should you wish to speak in depth about this issue- erint@harteautogroup.com

It may be a "complimentary" car wash but when my financée brought in the car he said do not wash the car. And more importantly, it says in the computer, DON'T WASH THE CAR FOR 30 DAYS! So if Harte really had looked up the history of the car wouldn't they have seen that it said no wash for 30 days with the date? I know the woman at the desk looked up the car information and it was the last thing that was done to the car so it should had been obvious to even a non-experienced person that the car could not be washed. I don't understand how difficult that is to understand! And on top of that, before I get to the rest of the comments made, it does not matter how it was painted. My car was given over to you in perfect condition and when it came back to me half the paint was missing! How is that not Harte's fault?! Pray tell me, how is it not their fault if the car is in perfect condition when the keys are exchanged hands but when it comes back to me the paint is gone. "This customer was informed that this is not damage but a result of poor workmanship on the part of the infiniti dealership who repaired and painted her bumper" (comment quote). As for that comment, I was told by a man named Ray that he would look at the car if I brought it in so I did. When I got there he told me that the paint had not come off in their dealership. That is when I informed him that it had come off in their hands and they should be the ones to fix it. He then took a very unprofessional picture of my car with a personal phone and claimed that he sent it to his boss. He called me back not even 20 min later to tell me that his boss, that is supposedly in a meeting and unavailable, said that they would not cover it because it was not their fault. Now I am sorry, but that is NOT looking at the history of the car. And the man, Ray, even had the audacity to say that it is not damage. I am very sorry but that IS damage. If it costs money to fix and is not how the car originally was it is damage. And here again in the comment it is claimed not to be damaged, "This customer was informed that this is not damage...". Now, pray tell, how is it not damage? If it is not the way it is supposed to me then it is damage! If I have to pay hundreds of dollars to get it fixed, its damage! Now the last thing about this is the comment made about "working" with me to fix this. "We have attempted to work with this customer to get this resolved". This is not really at all true. I had to go above and beyond to get anywhere with Harte. I left messages and messages to their manager because every time I called he seemed never to be there. I asked him to please call me back but never received any phone call back. Nothing is all I heard from him even to this day. So then I was forced to call Infinity USA, as previously stated in my first comment. They were helpful at first but let me down in the end. I have had so many problems with Harte. And its funny because we have recently has a light come on about an airbag and I called Harte to see if I could be with the car because I am not comfortable leaving it alone in Harte. The man I talked to said I could wait outside on the curb and look in the window. The curb! What am I to do, bring binoculars? I commented to the man I have had problems with Harte in the past and would feel a lot better if I could stay with my car (remember customers are always right, granted I didn't say it but thought it) and all I received was a brief, "I cant have you looking over his shoulder" with a hang up. Really nice. Its safe to say I will not go there if I cant be with the car. So I called the Herb Chambers Infinity and they are SO AMAZING! Harte wanted $170.00 just for diagnostic and the man in service at Herb Chambers was so sweet and kind and totally helpful. They really tried to make me happy and make my time there pleasurable. Their manager even walked around and talked to us! They were so kind over there that they even gave us a complimentary diagnostic! Such sweethearts! If you ever want great service go to Herb Chambers. They are near to Boston but definitely worth the drive. You and your car do not have to worry about anything, especially about being damaged. Yes, a paint job ruined is damaged.
