We stopped at Harry Brown's to check out two vehicles we had seen in the lot & online. One was new, the other had 23,000 miles on, both were 2012 Chevy Equinox. We met Dick Jensen as we were walking towar had seen in the lot & online. One was new, the other had 23,000 miles on, both were 2012 Chevy Equinox. We met Dick Jensen as we were walking toward the entrance. He showed us both vehicles thoroughly explaining all the operations and options of each. Dick was very knowledgeable in answering all our questions. Dick was friendly but not at all pushy while explaining the differences of each vehicle. After driving both vehicles, we decided to consider purchasing the new one. Purchasing the vehicle was hassle free and we were very satisfied with the agreed upon price. Everyone we dealt with was more than pleasant to talk with and gave us valuable information. We believe the staff at Harry Brown's are top quality and will definitely return in the future. More
Initially the visit to the dealership was fine. Mike Ruby was not too pushy which we liked. After we agreed t purchase the vehicle though he kept saying we were getting such a great deal because the vehicle was not too pushy which we liked. After we agreed t purchase the vehicle though he kept saying we were getting such a great deal because the vehicle was "hail discounted" which he kept using as an excuse why the could not negotiate the price of the used vehicle or our trade-in. We later learned the discount was 0$. Then he told us it would take 15 minutes to meet with the finance department and took all our info. after waiting 2 hours, for Heidi who was not at all apolagetic about the wait, she proceeded to get all our info again in the middle of the lobby, not inviting us into her office. We decided to leave and get financing elsewhere. Then Mike told us we could pick up the car in two days which was fine, I wouldn't have cared if it was five days. But the night before we could get it he called to say that the detailer ruined the driver door with the buffing wheel and said plainly that I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT! I disagreed and when I told him the deal was off he grudgingly offered to have their shop repair the door. He would not however repair the door and allow me to inspect it and then purchase the vehicle. He told me if I wanted it I would still have to pick it up at the agreed time because "its the end of the month". This made me feel like if they got the money I would go away. After we purchased the vehicle the told me I could take it right over to the body shop myself so as not to inconvenience them! And that Iwould recieve a loaner car. But their sub par body shop told me they had no cars to offer me for "maybe 2 weeks?". So I called Mike, who said it was "not his problem" but he would get me a car to drive to work since the had my trade. He never called me back, so I showed up at the dealer and demanded a car and they grudgingly gave me one, that got the ball rolling on my repair though! Bottom line is I was never so happy when I left the lot for the last time, and the feeling was mutual as Mike said "hopefully we won't see you again". I like the vehicle, but don't want to return to the dealer because they ruined the whole experience for me. What kind of reputeable dealership calls and asks you to pay for damage they caused and then demands payment in full? More
