Looking for a mid-size SUV, comparing Honda, Toyota, and Chevy. Very good experience with Don Bell on first test-drive, he really knows the vehicle. Me & my family have dealt in the past with Harrisonburg Honda & they have always been Great to work with. I arrived and saw the New Civic I wanted to drive. Taylor came out to assist me. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He went over the car before we test drove it and showed me and took the time to explain everything about the car and how it worked. He went above and beyond anything I had ever experienced before. It was very refreshing because there was no pressure or anything during the whole transaction. After I drove the car we looked at different options of financing and leasing. We sat down and looked at the options and it took no time at all and he came back with the payments that I had wanted. In the past when I would do a deal on the price and payments there was always haggling and took forever. Well this was not the Case at Harrisonburg Honda. They were very professional and cared about the needs and to make sure that I was happy and comfortable with the payments. It took very little time for them to get the pricing and payments and I did have a trade in. I was in total shock but yet there was no pressure and they made me feel like a part of the Honda Family at the Dealership. The General Manager Bryan came over also to talk to me and he was so caring about everything and making sure that I was being taken care of and even took time to talk to me about the needs or concerns I had. I did not get the car that evening but the next day and I have to say Bryan and Taylor and everyone at Harrisonburg Honda is a Joy to work with. They made me feel right at home and no pressure and made sure the car was ready and even got the mud guards on before I left and worked it in. This is Customer Service and they made sure I was taken Care of from Start to Finish and went above and beyond. The Finance Manager Robert was very professional also took the time to go over the paperwork and was very Professional and it took no time at all. Bryan and his team are wonderful to work with I would recommend anyone to Harrisonburg Honda and the wonderful service and Team they have. I will continue to always to buy my cars from them in the future and not hesitate at all and tell my friends about them. Thanks Taylor, Bryan for everything and making the transaction such a wonderful, fast smooth process. I will be a Customer for life no doubts. More
My husband and I were very pleased with our experience dealing with Harrisonburg Honda. There was absolutely no pressure and Matt (the salesman) and Yev (the finance manager) did a great job of assisting dealing with Harrisonburg Honda. We orginially planned to buy from our local dealership in Staunton (Valley Honda), but we were turned off by the amount of pressure applied to us. We were upfront with the people at Valley Honda about not wanting to buy that day and that we were just in the research process, but they hounded us and at least 4 people came over to apply different strategies of pressure. This was not the case at Harrisonburg Honda. Matt, the salesman, was very amicable and easy to talk to, and he never pressured us, letting us ask questions and decide the buying pace. We only dealt with him during the negotations and he was very considerate as to getting the price down to what I was willing to pay. Only when I made the committment to buy did I interact with anyone else-- Yev, the financer, who was equally friendly and did not apply ANY pressure. The only negative to the experience was the wait to meet Yev (one hour), but Matt let me get on his computer so I could get my fianances in order...and later go web-surfing. The wait took so long because we were in a long line of happy customers purchasing vehicles...a good thing which speaks volumes for this business. We are happy to start our new family in our new-to-us CRV, and we feel that if we need an upgrade or new car in the future, we would jump at the opportunity to work with Matt, Yev, and Harrisonburg Honda again. More
My wife and I decided on leasing a new vehicle in March of 2012. We dealt with Yev Primbetov and Justin Bowers who we had dealt with previously in the past two years for a new truck and a new car. The overall experience was excellent. I, like many others, avoid the car dealership experience at all costs. It was helpful to have the first contact through the on line representatives. When we did arrive at the dealership, there was no pressure and none of the "car salesman" feeling that I usually associate with car dealerships. Following the first meeting, Rich was accesible but did not pressure us into making a decision. My only negative interaction was when I met with Yev. The entire process of extended warranty shopping brought back all the feelings I associate with car dealerships. I would have preferred that the options were presented with clear price tags allowing me to make a decision. The presentation of "packages" was unclear and I walked away feeling as if I had been "had". Given the stellar service at every other part of our dealings, I would think that Harrisonburg Honda would look into this part of their practice. More
I had a wonderful car buying experience at Harrisonburg Honda. The internet salesman, Rich Glovier was friendly,courteous and honest. He made the experience "painless". My review will be summarized by the word, "Wow". Why can't all car buying leasing be this much fun and no hassle and transparant? Yev is super knowledgeable and what can I can say "Wow". Yev is super knowledgeable and what can I can say, he is as enthusiastic as one can be....he loves cars, clearly loves his job and yet communicates clearly and with no sales pressure/hassle of any kind. In my almost 50 years, I have bought probably over 20 cars and never have I had a transaction go this smoothly..even the finanical part which sometimes can be filled with all types of major and minor surprises. Well I had one...our lease calculators were coming up with different monthly payment amnounts until we realized that there was $400 removed for VA property tax which I hadn't entered into my calculator. But heck, this was the smoothest, fastest and I dare say seamless transaction ever...I am writing this review a few hours after driving my new Pilot home (no fewer than 2 hours one way) and I am still shaking my head how much fun this process really was...except the two hour drive to and from the dealership. I am not sure Yev or Harrisonburg Honda could do anything about that...but am sure if there was, they would have done it. So the drive was certainly worth it. Yev and the dealership staff know their stuff and get a "10" in customer service. Let me also say, I do "MY HOMEWORK"....I had contacted at least 10 DC and Baltimore area dealers to negotiate a sales price and while I got the price I wanted a few times, it was not available for a car not in stock. I got the sense that while some dealers would do a dealer to dealer trade, not unless, and this is my guess, there was enough money to be had by all parties. Needless to say, nobody offered me my target price and actually had the model, trim and color I wanted....until I talked with Yev at HH...he offered to have it transferred and it was...WITHIN ONE DAY. So Yev offered to sell me the car at my competitive offer AND buy or take my trade in at its fair value.....Do you know how hard it is to get BOTH of those things at once...very rare I can tell you...and then to get both things and get the financial part of the transaction clear and transparant....even rarer still I'm afraid to say. Anyway, I can't say enough good things about buying or leasing a new car at this dealership...it was worth my two hour drive from Northern VA...maybe in three years when my lease runs out, I'll go back to Harrisonburg Honda to pick up my Hydrogen Cell Powered SUV....One can hope right...scratch that, I'm sure if Yev is there, he'd be selling the new Acura NSX....but probably not until Jerry Seinfeld or Jay Leno duke it out...oh wait that's an Acura...oh well. Seriously, someone is clearly minding the store at Harrisonburg Honda to both hire sales professionals like Yev and secondly to allow them to do what they do best, talk about what they love and sell cars like hotcakes....... More
