My wife and I worked with Michael Boswell to purchase our new Acura MDX and were both very happy with the experience. We originally visited the dealership based on the high consumer report rating for the MD new Acura MDX and were both very happy with the experience. We originally visited the dealership based on the high consumer report rating for the MDX and our experience with Honda products. Michael showed us the vehicles, answered or questions, and allowed us to take a test drive during the original visit with no sales pressure since we were looking at several different models and brands at that time. We returned to the dealership for a second, then third test drive while trying out 7 different SUVs at 5 different dealerships in Knoxville. The MDX is beautiful, but it won our hearts with the driving experience. Countless internet searches also indicated it was the best value for us based on quality, size, dependability, and horsepower. Michael was very relaxing to work with during each visit, allowing us the space we needed to consider this important decision, answering questions, and not pressing us at any time. The Business Staff completed their activities quickly, and Michael then spent substantial time providing instructions on how to use the various features on the MDX. The MDX is primarily my wife's vehicle, and he focused his attention on making sure that she asked the questions she had and understood the answers. Everyone we worked with at Harper was very friendly and professional, and I strongly recommend this dealership. More
This has been the best experience I have ever had when buying a car. I am 58 and have bought many new and used cars and I cannot say enough how well I have been treated. Shane was knowledgeable, friendly, and was an honest man of his word. Everything he said was true. Every commitment he made he kept; even when he got me his best price. He even drove himself to Lexington to get my car. Shannon Harper was absoultely freindly and personable. He personally helped acquire my car from another dealer. He did his all to get me the price I was promised. And he delivered. He took the time to meet me personally....but that's not all. I will say I am unhappy with Acura motor company. They would not even look at the damage my car experienced to the windshield. The windshield cracked after I had only driven 1200 miles. I firmly believe the crack was because of defective auto glass or something that happened before I ever touched the steering wheel, but this could not be proven. And rightfully so, Acura believed it cracked because of impact that occurred after I owned the car, which I disputed. Anyway, when Harper representatives asked the Acura agent to evaluate the situation, Acura flat refused. They would not even look at the car, and they refused to even consider the warranty. But Shannon got involved and agreed to replace the windshield where Harper bore some of the cost and I bore some of the cost. Really, this was the only impartial and fair solution. Anyway Shannon offered this compromise without my having to ask or complain. I will refer anyone I know to Harper. I will say I am very disappointed in Acura agents (not Harper but Acura). This is truly a case of the multi-billion dollar company screwing the little guy. I had never bought a luxury car before in my life. I was so pleased, and then Acura stuck it to me. Actually Acura stuck it to Harper too. This should have been a warranty claim, but no way would Acura even consider it. They were too busy to even come look. They could not care less and would not pay one dime. That said, thank you so much Shannon Harper. You treated me like you would like to be treated. You went out of you way and paid with your dealership's money to help me out. And kudos to Shane. Don't forget Shane. I was extremely pleased with him as well. More

He is helpful in EVERY department and faucet of Harper Acura as a brand. R. Jay instills the trust I have in Acura from the inside out. He makes me feel secure in my choice to not only service my Acura at Harper, he instigates a desire to continue purchasing cars from Harper Acura. This is no easy feat, I can assure you! There are several aspects that one seeks when completing a business transaction with another; honesty, integrity and follow-up. R. Jay could teach others within the auto industry a thing or two in these categories! When he told me I needed new brakes, tires and a power steering pump, he explained it all in such a way that I would not want to take my car anywhere else for my service/products. The level of sincerity and honesty he embodies when he speaks completely assures you that you're in the most exact perfect place you could be. When I told R. Jay I was considering trading up on my car, he asked the right questions, then proceeded to answer my questions and thoughts, some before I even asked him! His knowledge of the Acura brand will give you a wonderful sense of security, particularly when considering trading what you currently have for another Acura. After my experience with R. Jay, I will DEFINITELY be trading my current Acura for another Acura. He has secured not only an Acura customer for life, a Harper customer for life. Thank you Harper and thank you, R. Jay. More
