I’ve been wondering how I was going to write my review because of how wrong everything went. Back on April 13 of 2022 I had to take my car in because check engine light was on and was not arguing correctl because of how wrong everything went. Prior to going to Harold’s I went to AutoZone and used a coach scanner and got a print out saying that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be changed replaced. At Harold’s after the diagnostics machine was done boy did I get a surprise. I was told that the engine kicked out 12 the 14 different codes at once in the engine was gone. I was looking at getting a brand new engine according to them. I was told my fuel pump was fine. Everything was because of the engine breaking down. I was told this was gonna be around $8000 in CarShield may not pay for it. I couldn’t believe what they were telling me. So I decided to get the vehicle to another mechanic for a separate opinion. When I went to my other mechanic I did not tell them about my experience at Harold’s because I didn’t want to poison the water. They ran their diagnostics and I got a phone call. My fuel pump was completely shot and the oil valve went out also. I was told I have fuel in my oil. I asked him anything else kicked out on the diagnostic with the computer skin any other coach. I was told no. No Harold Chevrolet in Buick big time car dealership told me what a straight face that my fuel pump was fine I needed a new engine. The second opinion all I needed was a fuel pump a little valve and oil change. I waited for a week on pins and needles because I didn’t know what was going to happen because of what happened at Harold’s. Well he got to my vehicle he changed out the fuel pump he also change the valve oil change everything. I finally get a call my car is ready. So I went there and guess what! My car is running I didn’t need a new engine I was lied to. Well on Thursday, July 14, 2022 I called Harold. I need my diagnostics from when they scan my car and guess what. Magically it never cascade into the computer and they shredded it. Now I ask footballer regular file paper file I was told no they’ll scan them into the computer and shred them. I was told there was no way that I could get my diagnostic report. Even though I got the date order number and everything when it was done. My technician was Joel McCurdy Service Advisor. I was told I needed a brand new engine that 12 to 14 different colors does bed yet the evidence ofmy diagnostic disappeared. I was able to get mine maintenance history. I cannot believe I was like you and almost tricked into buying or trading in my car when all it was was a stupid fuel pump. Next time Harolds instead of thinking about the money try thinking about the customer. I am very disappointing in this and horrified at your actions. I hope I’m able to share this everywhere so that way nobody else gets ripped off. More
