They DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS I've purchased two trucks from Hardin and my recent experience has me doubting my decisions. As you read this keep in mind, my truck is a 2016 GMC I've purchased two trucks from Hardin and my recent experience has me doubting my decisions. As you read this keep in mind, my truck is a 2016 GMC Sierra. About a month ago I noticed my trucks paint job began to bubble. It started on the left side panel just below the passenger window. I became concerned so I called the dealership and setup an appointment. Prior to attending the appointment I consulted with a body shop and they informed me they see this all the time with this truck/year, it was apparently a factory defect having to do with how they prepped the surface prior to painting. I then went online and sure enough, there are many, many cases on blogs/forums where owners indicate the same thing I was informed. Some of them state GMC/Dealerships paid for the repairs since it was a known defect. When I went to my appointment, Rick called their bodyshop and had my truck sent over for an inspection- they said the same thing, it is a factory defect due to lack of prep. Rick informed me it would cost about $800 to fix the panel. I called GMC and opened a case, the agent said he would try to work with the dealership in hopes they can assist with the cost. GMC offered to pay for $300 of the cost so my out of pocket was $500. Rick called me back later in the day and confirmed what the GMC agent said. I asked Rick to speak to his Manager as I felt the dealership could do more for the situation, considering it was a factory issue. Rick had his Director (Walt) call me. At the time when I spoke with Rick I did not realize the dealership had pressure washed my truck which resulted in the OTHER side of the truck to have the paint peel off!! I was not happy about this, since when I took it in it was a small issue on the left side but by the time I left the right side had a big area of paint missing. I informed Walt of what had occurred, letting him know the paint was removed by staff when it was washed- he completely dismissed my comment and said "we wash these things all the time and paint just does not come off, beside it would have come off in time" Walt then said he was going to call GMC to see if he could get them to do more but he asked me to come back so they could take pictures to send to GMC. I am now back at the dealership, Walt and Rick are outside. Walt does not acknowledge my presence (Even though I am standing right by him and Rick) and is speaking to Rick saying, "Yup, this model and year had a defect, paint was no good" I leave as I was told by Walt on the phone that he was personally going to go to bat for me with GMC in hopes they would do more that offering $300 to offset the cost. Rick calls me back- he states GMC is only offering $300, my out of pocket cost to fix both sides is $1,000. I am blown away, we paid over $40K for this truck and $40K for my last truck yet the dealership is unwilling to step up and take ownership of selling a crappy product. My ask was NOT for them to pay 100% but it would have shown loyalty or appreciation of my business to offer to do more. More
Pre-Owned Certified Purchase Loss. I bought a pre-owned certified Buick Verano. I live in San Diego and put 4000 miles on the vehicle in about 9 months. I brought it into a GM dealer in I bought a pre-owned certified Buick Verano. I live in San Diego and put 4000 miles on the vehicle in about 9 months. I brought it into a GM dealer in San Diego and was told the rotors were so bad they needed to be replaced. They were in such bad shape they couldn't even be re-surfaced though the brake pads were exactly the same measurement when I bought the vehicle. I am 42 yo and have never burned a rotor, let alone in 4000 miles. I called Hardin to give them an opportunity to help and both the sales manager and service manager told me that it was too bad, my fault and were rude. The culture of GM's customer service is something out of a 1970s car lot and no wonder why they are in trouble and can't get a younger buyer base. It has nothing to do with the product and everything with their culture. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE and think twice before you buy GM. More
Car Salesman My wife and our grandchildren outgrew our current Range Rover and we needed to get out of our lease a few months early and get a new vehicle. My wife My wife and our grandchildren outgrew our current Range Rover and we needed to get out of our lease a few months early and get a new vehicle. My wife wanted a Yukon Denali. Costco is running a promo touting a hassle free purchase, where the dealer is to show you invoice and sell at supplier pricing, which is below invoice. When you sign up to get a number, they give you a choice of three dealers in your area, we selected #Hardin Buick GMC. David Jolliffe contacted me within 15 minutes. He said he had two of the vehicle we wanted, one black, one white and the price would be $69,189.00 with the current rebates. I told him we would like to see it, he invited us down, but the Black was gone. We went down right away to find the White one was being driven by a manger and was not there, as well it had 3,000 miles. He asked us to come the following day, which we did and liked the vehicle but wanted to see if one was available without the miles, there was nothing equipped as we wanted, and he offered an additional $1,000 off if we took that one. Finally after several text messages and emails, we agreed to take the one they had. To this point all negations were sales price, not payments. As soon as we agreed, payments were the only thing discussed. As we were waiting for a time to come down, I sent a text confirming the negotiated sales price, only to be called back by David and Don. As it turned out, the price we were given and agreed to was not the price we were going to pay, although they didn't tell us a price. I could see the writing on the wall, it was a typical dealerships bait and switch. The manager kept stating he offered it to us at the payment we agreed, but we never agreed to a payment, only a sales price. They said they needed to confer with John, the manager and they would get back to us first thing the following morning, the next day, it was within an hour, they never got back to us. At least we were not separated from our money. The lesson, never take their word for anything, they are by their very nature, car salesman, take notes, and check everything they present to your for signatures. Sounds logical, but when the salesman insists this dealership is different, money is not important, Relationships are their goal, don't believe them, money is the final arbiter. I would not have written this review if the dealership and it's managers were just straight and above board as David said they were, I think he may have had good intentions, but not the dealership, we'll never know. Now that I have had my trade in inspected, I will incur additional expense because Range Rover only allows one inspection, and this deal went south. I'm out two trips and a weeks worth of conversations, emails and texts, but at least I have my money. More
Great place to buy a car or truck I just purchased a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali. Two months ago I purchased a 2015 Terrain Denali and May of 2012 I purchased a 2012 Acadia Denali. That sho I just purchased a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali. Two months ago I purchased a 2015 Terrain Denali and May of 2012 I purchased a 2012 Acadia Denali. That should clearly indicate if I'm a happy customer. Paul Hindman was our sales person for both recent purchases and Dan St. Claire for the Acadia. Both were superb. All 3 purchases were cash deals and dealing with Marvin and Garret to complete the sales contracts was also seamless. I live in Ontario, Calif, approx. 30 miles north of Hardin, I have a GMC dealership approx. 5 miles away from my home but found Hardin to be much more relaxed and more compatible to my needs. More

Horrible Dealer! Stay Away! This dealer did not honor the internet price he had published! he also did not have consistency with his own sales people on what they tell to customers! My experience with Hardin GMC was excellent. John and Paul were both great to work with. Very professional and efficient. We quickly arrived at a great price for both my new car (1 year old Yukon XL) and Paul were both great to work with. Very professional and efficient. We quickly arrived at a great price for both my new car (1 year old Yukon XL) and trade in. Took about five minutes to arrive at a very fair deal that we all agreed to. Follow up on due bill items was second to none. They went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction. I would definitely purchase from Hardin GMC again, without hesitation. More
