Bait and switch I've leased three cars from Harbor Nissan over the years and have always had nothing but great things to say about them...until now. Free oil changes I've leased three cars from Harbor Nissan over the years and have always had nothing but great things to say about them...until now. Free oil changes have always been a part of my contract, as they are in my current one; however, I was informed during my last service visit that now I have to pay $18.95 for an oil change. They justified that I'm saving money on tire rotations, so it's actually better. Well, I always paid $25 for each of my two rotations, and had 4 free oil changes before. Now I pay 18.95 + tax for those four oil changes and pay $10 for those two rotations. What's cheaper, $50/year or $100/yr? I stated my displeasure with my advisor, but he held strong to the belief that they were helping me. I've been a customer for seven years, but I won't be going back. I will be following up with them next week. More
Need to work on customer service skills I drove my car into the service lane and no attendant was available to greet me. I was at all concerned about that and simply took my keys and went inside to the desk. There were 4 workers at the desk. None even acknowledged my presence. I stood there for a good five minutes. One of the workers was having a social conversation with what appeared to be another customer. There were no other customers present. I continued to wait and was actually about to leave when one attendant asked what I was there for. I said I had an apt for an oil change. He simply stated, give me your keys and go wait. That is what I did. At not point did anyone bother to say "hello, we are glad of your business, thank-you, please wait and will be with your soon," or any other expected words that let me know that I was even just a tiny bit appreciated. Before this visit, I was planning on purchasing my next car here. Now I will buy from whoever has the best price. More
False advertising and no way to run a business. Dealer at purchase time claimed I would have free oil changes for life of car. Went in for oil change and they said they are not doing free oil changes any more and was told owner decided that and not to let previous purchasers know til the made an appointment. Also received a free oil change coupon from dealer stating it was good til 12/31/2017 but the would not honor that either. I can just image what the dealer is doing to new car buyers. Will never return or recomend people to Harbor Nissan- Port Charlotte FL. More
Need some honesty I was told that the tire had to be replaced since the nail was too close to the side. I showed Jim my invoice papers showing purchased coverage for tire and wheel protection. He said the nail was not covered because it was not a road hazard (my jaw dropped!!!). I demanded to talk to the supervisor. He replied, "you can talk to any supervisor you want." Then he went and talked to the supervisor and emerged saying that the nail was covered under the insurance. Then suddenly the hole was could be patched and not needing replacement. Very disturbed. Made my appt. & drive all the way up there (45 min) to find out they stopped free oil changes in June. I was asked "didn't they explain that when I made my appt?" Well no, I wouldn't have driven there to pay, I could have done that closer to home. Why weren't present owners grandfathered in for continued free oil changes? I will never buy another car fro Harbor Nissan as they are liars and do not keep their word & apparently don't care! PS- I have no idea who I dealt with so I just picked out a name. More

do not trust their promises I was told I would have 3 free oil changes out of 4 as long as I had Harbor Nissan sticker on my back glass and also free tires for life when I bought I was told I would have 3 free oil changes out of 4 as long as I had Harbor Nissan sticker on my back glass and also free tires for life when I bought my 2011 Frontier. My wife's new car (2016) was also promised free oil change for life. Now I am told that the oil change is no longer being honored. I was also told that I was overdue for the 60,000 mile service. I subsequently told them to go ahead and do it since it is required to do each service for the free tires for life. I was called by the service rep after I dropped the truck off and told that the service manager said that since I had missed the 60,000 mile service at exactly 60,000 miles that my tires for life was void. I told them to forget about the service at that point. I have had every service done at only this dealer since I bought the truck (2011) and now it seems they were just looking for an excuse to void their promise ( I had been traveling around the country and wanted to have all my service with them. Up until this point I had always been happy with the service department). When I picked up my truck after the oil change they had the nerve to write on the ticket that because I had declined the 60,000 mile service they were voiding my tires for life. I only declined the service after the service rep called me and told me that my tires for life was already voided by the service manager. My sticker will be coming off my truck, I will no longer use them for service and after buying 2 vehicles fro this dealer I will never purchase from them again. As it turns out, this dealer has an "F" rating from the better business bureau. Beware of what they promise when buying. More
