misled & unappreciated I bought a 2009 Nissan Versa from them in 2016. I was promised free oil changes and a $25 gift card. I got neither of them after I bought the car. In September of 2017, I get a notice via email that the airbags have been recalled due to shrapnel being a dangerous issue in the event of an accident so in October I took it in to have it replaced. While waiting for the airbags to be replaced, I got a rental from them. In the meantime, waiting for my car to get fixed, we were moving to Tampa. Which is even further away than Sarasota is to Port Charlotte. I informed them I was moving. Then within 2 weeks, my car was done. I was told I had three days to return the rental or I'll get charged regular rates for the rental on it. (first bad treatment from them) It all goes downhill from there. I called Nissan the day of January 2 and informed them I was on my way in to pick up my vehicle. Its quite a drive to Port Charlotte from Sarasota so I think about 1 1/2 hours is plenty of time to get my car ready to go. I get there and talked to Kelly, who's in charge of the rentals for this issue. She says she'll have someone get my car so I can be on my way. She comes back and says it'll be awhile, that its hidden behind other vehicles. I wait about 1/2 hour to get it. Finally got it and OMG. It was horrible. All BAD from there. The entire car was covered in debris. Not touched or washed in at least a month.I get in to start it, and it hesitates, then starts. The gas tank is completely empty when there was at least 1/8 tank or more in there when I dropped it off, the drivers door handle that fell off prior to drop off was gone from the center console where I left it. I have Hum by Verizon and in that time frame of my car being there, I got multiple alerts from them telling me that the Hum had been disconnected and reconnected, yellow battery alert, red battery alert and multiple inactivity alerts from them. And all I got for all this bad experience is a free car wash down the road from them. I had to stop and get gas first because at the next light getting to the car wash, my car almost died right there. I have never been treated so badly from a dealership until now. I give them a one star because, well because I, unlike them, I do have some respect for people. They seem to shun used car buyers as if they don't mean anything. The treatment I got from them was horrible and uncalled for. More

I usually contact him in advance and he always has the perfect cars picked out for me to choose from to help expedite the process whereas I work full-time. Robert Savettiere was also great when it came time to sign all the documents. He was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I love the location of the dealership and the professional staff. More
Not honoring “free oil changes for life” When I bought my nissan, the purchase agreement signed by Harbor stated in print “includes free oil changes for life.” There was absolutely no other d When I bought my nissan, the purchase agreement signed by Harbor stated in print “includes free oil changes for life.” There was absolutely no other documentation, limitations or caveats regarding this offer and it certainly was not positioned in any way as a promotion. I have asked the dealership 3 times to contact me about ending the free oil changes ( which I heard about only when I went to drop my car off for service) and have received no response. Etthically indefensible on the part of Harbor Nissan. They don’t deserve our business. More

Our salesperson, Gene, was amazing, and made the whole process very easy and hassle-free. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we bought a brand new car, but it needed a part replaced, and we had to wait a few days for actual delivery. (I didn't think a new car should need anything replaced, but that speaks more to the brand than the experience. It was a minor part, so we will see how that works out in the future, but that's an entirely different review.) More
Overall, a very good experience I went on-line to Harbor Nissan at the beginning of Dec. 2017, and started researching for a new vehicle. I was interested in a Versa or a Sentra, ha I went on-line to Harbor Nissan at the beginning of Dec. 2017, and started researching for a new vehicle. I was interested in a Versa or a Sentra, having driven a Sentra for 12 years, and an Altima for 10 years before that. I had wanted to wait until June of 2018, $$ wise, but knew buying at the end of the yea, I would get a better deal. I was contacted by email by several sales reps, including ones not even employed at Harbor Nissan. The only person who contacted me by phone was Matt O. A few phone calls and emails later, I made an appt on 12/27. Unbeknownst to me, Matt O. was not a new car salesman, but a used car salesman. However, he was so professional, kind, and really seemed to have my interests at heart, that I didn't care that he wasn't a new car salesman. I first test drove a 2018 Nissan Versa. I had just returned from CT where I had rented a Versa for a wk. Matt asked me if I loved the car. I said, I could love it. Back in the showroom, Matt consulted with the financial manager. However, I did not like the #'s the financial manager had come up with. It was about 7Kk+ what I had seen online, but I was told that # was deducting incentives that I did not qualify for. Matt said let's test drive the 2017 Sentra. He then asked if I loved the car. I said yes. And he said, I knew you would. He followed my wishes and let me test drive the Versa first, but I think he knew that the Sentra would be the right car for me. And THAT was the car I fell in love with. I was comfortable, it was bigger, it had more power, many more features, and as it turned out, b/c the Sentra had a rebate, etc., the d#'s proved to be a better deal. I bought the car! Well, I'm leasing it for now. But will either refinance and buy in June or at the end of the 3 year lease. Now, the negatives. Not about the car, but the whole process took so long and I don't think it was necessary. Matt had to continue to go across the street to the used car department (for reasons never explained to me). When the paperwork finally got to the financial person I waited over an hour for him to complete the paperwork. Then when signing, there was a discrepancy on something Matt told me. The financial wizard said "Matt isn't smart enough to have told you that." This man had gotten off on the wrong foot with me anyway, b/c he was just so business-like and had zero people skills But whenever he said, it just floored me. I thought, who does this guy think he is? Towards the end of purchasing the car (approx 6 hours later) a NEW car salesman stepped in, Rich C. I think Matt when back to the used car dept., but then was back again, making sure everything was going along smoothly. Rich was very nice, very helpful, etc. Rich C. He showed me the end of the process, hooking up my phone, showed me the owner's manual, explained the service department, should I need it in the future, etc. The other thing (maybe b/c my patience was shot at this point) the car mats were never put in the car, I think they are still in the trunk. Also, later in the evening, I took the car out and I could not see out the windows. The car must have sat around a long time b/c the windows were black! That should have been taken care of before purchase. I scrubbed them yesterday and they are still not clean. All in all, I love my new Sentra. More
