I opted for an additional Nissan extended warranty as well as an Allstate paint and fabric protection plan. The car had the pearl white tri-coat which was the most expensive paint option. I spent $60,000. The vehicle had damage to the front bumper which was promised by the salesman to be repainted prior to delivery. This was never done, instead it was "buffed out." The vehicle was extremely dirty both inside and out upon delivery. Both pairs of Bluetooth Headphones for DVD system were missing. The paint began to chip off of the vehicle in strange locations soon after purchase. Aaron Kennedy was the salesman. I provided a recollection of my purchase experience to Nissan Consumer Affairs. Months later, after progressive paint chipping I contacted Harbor Nissan. I dealt with Steven Negoshian who inspected the damage to my car for about a minute and then began scolding me for the poor review I had previously provided to Nissan corporate regarding my experience purchasing the vehicle. He told me the damage was from rock chips, would not be covered, and that I should leave the premises. He told me the Allstate paint and fabric protection would be honored at another Nissan Dealership. He again chided me for providing a review that "ruined HIS dealership" before I left. I then contacted Allstate paint and fabric protection. This company was supposed to have applied a special protectant to both the exterior and interior of my vehicle. There is no proof that this was ever completed. Allstate directed me to the body shop of my choice to receive an estimate. The body shop determined that the missing paint was due to a manufacturer defect and not rocks. After Allstate received photographs from the body shop they stated the damage was "environmental" and would not be covered. Because of their denial of my claim and general dissatisfaction I asked if this protection plan was refundable and they said it was not, not even in a prorated manner. Nissan Corporate has been anything but helpful in this matter. They were very bad at answering and returning my phone calls. I eventually had to open a new case for the same issue with a different representative. They instructed me to have the car inspected at a distant dealership several times for which I had to miss work three mornings only to determine that the damage was "environmental" and there was nothing they would do to remedy the situation. It appears they did not want to do anything to satisfy and retain a customer. I have never had such an upsetting experience with a car dealership. Since I can afford to purchase more expensive vehicles I will be steering clear of Nissan and Infiniti for the rest of my life and will be looking at BMW, Acura, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz because my family members have been very satisfied with their vehicles from these manufacturers. I never thought I would be reprimanded for a negative review. If Harbor Nissan did not want my honest opinion they should not have continuously emailed me asking for it. Negative reviews should be used as opportunities to improve. I never heard once from the owner or general manager of the dealership. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and have an upcoming hearing in regards to this matter. More
