But once you settle on a few makes and models, the Internet can, at least, provide you with options from dealers or direct from individuals. Armed with that data, and a healthy trust in the mechanic I call the son I didn't have, I chose to go with a dealership and a vehicle with quite a few miles on it, but still looked good. The Harbin website for used vehicles was better than most (I've looked at many). The ubiquitous pop up "offer to chat with you" was there, but rather that punch the button to do so, I simply called the number on the screen which was promptly answered by Bobby Card. He was polite, helpful, and ready to answer my questions in a professional manner. I wanted to see the vehicle the next day, he would be out, I learned, but deftly handed off the conversation to his partner Mark Warren. The following day I met with Mark and after a test drive, great conversation, including a very nice chat with Win Harbin, and (of course), a bit of haggling, was very satisfied with the deal and extremely impressed with Mark's knowledge of vehicles in general and this one specifically - they acknowledged an issue that your typical buyer would never know about. I haven't seen that kind of honesty in a while. They clearly have an excellent business manger as they thought my finance rate (due in part to the mileage of the vehicle), would be high. Kudos to Michael Curry who made the "how many docs do have to sign?" much more pleasant than I have experienced in the past with other dealers. Also, they were able to find a much better rate. Overall highly recommended. More

45 years later I had a '69 Candy Apple Red Mustang. When I married in '70, we couldn't afford a car payment and car insurance, so after driving my Mustang for a year I had a '69 Candy Apple Red Mustang. When I married in '70, we couldn't afford a car payment and car insurance, so after driving my Mustang for a year, I gave it to my folks who drove it for 15 years.
