Lack of Coordinating Between Service Reps Ben is my normal service rep. He has had my vehicle in 2 times. He got the issue diagnosed and parts ordered. He set me up for the installation/rep Ben is my normal service rep. He has had my vehicle in 2 times. He got the issue diagnosed and parts ordered. He set me up for the installation/replacement after the parts arrived. On the day (11 DEC 17) of installation/replacement, I arrive at the service center at 8 am for my appointment. Ben is off. I didn't catch his name filling for Ben. I tell him specifically I had an appointment to replace a part in my Sync 3. I was then asked about my symptoms for the Sync 3. This tells me the tech and service rep did not check Ben's notes on the vehicle. After 2.5 hours, I get the vehicle back. Loretta tells me they reprogramed the APIM (sp?) in the Sync 3. I directly say, "they were supposed to replace the APIM." She looks at the paper, then says that they have to reprogram after replacing. Ok, got me there. Sounds legit. This turned out not to be the case. Instead of admitting she was not sure and taking 5 minutes to address a customer question, she made a guess and sent me on my way. The APIM was never replaced. Thus I now have to come back to the shop. My recommendation:. 1). Only schedule customer on days their advisor is there. 2). If an advisor has someone scheduled on their off day, leave detailed notes for back fill 3). Make sure tech and service reps read the notes. I find it hard to believe that my service record didn't note parts had been ordered for replacement. More
