I recently took my 2016 Veloster in for service (the auto transmission wasn't shifting smoothly). Service reported back a DCT (dual clutch transmission)replacement was necessary ($4700). In that I assumed this was a power train issue, while researching I discovered that at the time of sale 2016 & 2017 Veloster's were part of a settled class action lawsuit regarding failure of the DCT (I was never informed of a class action lawsuit). I met with the Sales Manager (Mr. Ahmad Samra) and asked if it was policy to put cars on their lot that are part of a settled class action lawsuit; Mr. Samra answered quickly (and decisively) "absolutely". I also questioned the ethics of posting the original "sticker" in the car with salespeople referencing it as the "best manufactures warranty available" when the same warranty DOESN'T apply to secondary buyers ( I bought the vehicle used). Mr. Samra insisted the warranty was the same for original and secondary owners (which begs the question "the why aren't you fixing my car?"). Mr. Samra acknowledged six previous loyalty purchases (grudgingly) and offered his card and said he would be amenable to favorable terms if I saw another auto; I did, and emailed him and inquired about pricing (I made no offer, I just questioned what his "favorable" terms would be). That was three days ago and I've received no response. I'm well aware of what "Caveat Emptor" means. I was hoping for a little more (or any) action from the dealer. More

My sister and I specifically stated that I did not want to run my credit since I already had my approval letter from Bank of America. Yet, I see a hard inquiry from Happy Hundrai that I will be disputing. Also, safe to say my family and I will not be purchasing from this dealership. Internet sales manager asked about recent visit and I informed her but never received a response. Only received a call after I posted honest review on Google and they didn’t offer any resolution or apologies just demanded that I take down my review. Do not go to this dealership. More
Took my Hyundai(still under warranty) due to issues starting.. I have been there three times and they still can’t fix the issue. They just scheduled me for a fourth service visit for the same issue. starting.. I have been there three times and they still can’t fix the issue. They showed no integrity when they made a service mistake. They missed a defect with my tires that was well known on Ioniq 5 forums and I asked about, denied that there was a warranty on the tires, a mistake. They missed a defect with my tires that was well known on Ioniq 5 forums and I asked about, denied that there was a warranty on the tires, and suggested I needed to replace the tires on my own dime after a misdiagnosis. They charged me hundreds of dollars of unnecessary work that didn't fix the problem. They also cost us hours of time, and a slow and dangerous drive home. They refused to refund any of the charges after I explained the situation in detail and gave them an opportunity to make it right, even after being contacted by Hyundai Corporate. Discount Tire diagnosed the issue in a few minutes, fixed the problem (by removing the failed foam from the tires and re-balancing), and even so, successfully requested replacement tires under warranty. Discount Tire did all this for a total of $90, what Happy Hyundai charged just for their diagnosis. Discount Tire felt so badly about how Happy Hyundai treated us that they even offered to install the new tires free of charge! More
Purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership last year brand new 1 for me and the wife. First I purchased the tire extended warranty that covered nothing. So far I’ve shelled out almost $600 for 2 tires since l new 1 for me and the wife. First I purchased the tire extended warranty that covered nothing. So far I’ve shelled out almost $600 for 2 tires since last year. Then the dealership tried to charge me for a faulty radio/infotainment system in the car as I updated according to the the manufactures guide I did my truck but the wife’s car wouldn’t take the update so til it to the dealership ace was told I would have to pay for the update to see if it’s the system which made no sense to me and if it wasn’t the system if be refunded. So I tips them to install and run the system test then I’ll pay if it’s not the system in which it was the system and they looked silly and it took them a total of 6 1/2 hours and they never came and gave an update or anything but just came to me and said oh you need a new radio we’ve got to order it and we’ll call even it gets in which was almost a month oh on top of that I had to call to see if it was in. Ava after all that waiting not even a discount on the work i was getting done on both cars. Then today my car is supposed to get free complimentary maintenance for 3 years which are just oil changes and tire rotations. But today they told me I didn’t have enough miles for the free oil change. Hyundai recommends oil changes every 7500 miles but the sticker they put in the window last oil change didn’t say that and I asked why because they the dealership recommend oil change every 3450 mile’s I asked why and was told because it’s Illinois which makes no sense I drive my truck to and from work only the truck was bought February 2022 brand new and all i have is 19000 miles on the car so I don’t drive the car hard it out a lot of miles on it. To make a long story short I ended up paying almost $100 for an oil change the was supposed to be complimentary. Was told too talk to the salesman about the maintenance plan I purchased and I said I didn’t purchase a plan I bought the truck brand new and it comes with 3 years complimentary maintenance and they just looked crazy. Buyers and owners please beware take caution when going to this dealership. Don’t trust them. More
They service department doesn't address customers concerns! They find ways for customers to pay out of pocket for what should be covered under warranty!! concerns! They find ways for customers to pay out of pocket for what should be covered under warranty!! More

They’ll straight up lie to you and demean you when you try to call it out. Dalia and her team should be ashamed of themselves. I leased the car ~45 days ago and did leave a perfect survey (of which I told them I regret!). That night I filled out the survey I requested a buy out quote online from Hyundai finance (not happy Hyundai) that encompassed the depreciated cost + all of the lease payments. This is different from what I explicitly asked both the sales manager and finance manager, even looking right at the terms in the contract while signing in the presence of my husband. I was told it would be the remaining capitalized cost and not the entire lease payments + depreciation when buying out the vehicle. The difference in this case is about $5,000! Never did I inquire to happy Hyundai about taxes (which is what they continue to go on about) because that wasn’t the issue! What happened was more deflection from the sales manager going on about taxes and how there could never be a tax credit only for leases (which is not true at all). But as you can see, they can’t be surprised when I did try to reach out to the dealer to correct things in attempt to not need to write this exact review. All I wanted was the ability to buy my car for the price the dealer can buy it at (aka about what I was promised in terms of pricing), but alas… I contacted Hyundai consumer affairs and was told (after a month of being strung along - which is why I’m writing this 45 days later not 15!) that the management of the dealer was “shocked” that such an issue would be escalated that high and that it should be dealt with at the dealer. Unfortunately, the dealer is just still going on with misinformation and lies and has no interest in making things right. So Hyundai won’t help customers who are cheated by their dealers, and their dealers are frauds. No wonder they can’t sell these cars!! Very sadly, I love my car but it’s making me sick just to look at. It will be sold ASAP. What a giant waste of money and what a waste of a customer from Happy Hyundai and Hyundai. If they use fraudulent business practices on me they’ll do the same to you! Stay away!!! Happy Hyundai… more like sad fraudulent scam artist Hyundai. More
