I took my vehicle in to have the transmission oil flushed as normal preventative maintenance. I also had the regular oil and filter change done at the same time. I have always picked up my car freshly washed as normal preventative maintenance. I also had the regular oil and filter change done at the same time. I have always picked up my car freshly washed and clean after having service done. However, this time it was not washed. Not a big deal as I have a monthly subscription at a car wash. The part that was a big deal was when I went to check the oil level (I always do this to be sure it’s full) I saw a big greasy hand print on the hood of my white car. This level of carelessness by the service tech made me question if it is worth taking my vehicle back to the dealer for service. I did call the service department and spoke with my service advisor about this situation. She was very apologetic and explained that sometimes the car wash is blocked by the oil recycling truck so it couldn’t be done. She offered to have me bring the car back to be cleaned the next day. When I arrived, the oil recycling truck was there blocking the car wash. I’m not sure if they do recycling everyday, but that seems a bit excessive. I also am in the service industry, and wouldn’t think of leaving my customer’s stuff in a mess that I caused. A simple use of rag to wipe off the handprint (or better yet - the service tech’s hands) goes a long way toward building/maintaining customer confidence. I resisted posting this review, but I have received four requests between text messages and emails asking me to review my latest visit. So…here it is. More
