Went to Hanna imports on May 22nd with a check from my Credit Union looking for a Mercedes. Bought a 2020 GLC300 that we figured out (during the hour it took to get home) that we don’t like it. We return Credit Union looking for a Mercedes. Bought a 2020 GLC300 that we figured out (during the hour it took to get home) that we don’t like it. We returned it the next day (3 day return policy). The Sales director was in a hurry to get us out the door and we were definitely interested in buying a Volvo however despite their 3 day return policy Hanna imports cashed our check the same day we returned the Mercedes. This single act voided our loan forcing us to resubmit a loan application with our credit union which we can’t do until the dealership returns the check they cashed. So they gave us a Volvo as a loaner and it had several damaged areas, we took pictures and sent them to our sales rep David Taveras who was very courteous and knowledgeable about the different cars on the lot. David told us that our trade was going to auction and would not be sold on their lot because they hand pick each car. So on 9/24/20 we went to the Credit Union and explained the situation. They instructed us to immediately return the “loaner” and get our original trade back until they receive the check from the Mercedes. We waited 2 hours at Hannah imports (during which time they kept saying they are looking for the key). However I could hear the “general manager” Luke Norman tell David that “I ain’t xxxxing dealing with this” and he threw some papers on the desk. The second time David asked Luke for the keys to our trade, Luke’s response was something to the effect of “they want their car back so they can take it and buy a car somewhere else, it ain’t gonna happen”. I took this as a threat, since I was sitting in front of the glass partition that is in front of Luke’s desk and he could see me, so he had to know I could hear him! Luke walked outside and drove to the building where they detail the cars. He returned a lil while later and we asked to speak to the general manager. Luke refused to speak to us and sent a sales manager over instead, who informed us that they “could not return our trade to us because they were reconditioning it for sale and already had it on their website and a prospective buyer”. In fact they demanded the sum of $1500 roughly to compensate them for what they claim to have done to the car. I let them know we weren’t paying a dime for anything “they did” to our trade and good luck selling a car they won’t own until I pay off the negative equity. He was shocked to learn we had negative equity. Minutes before the negative equity came up, we were negotiating damages to the loaner Volvo that we would like to have repaired prior to a purchase. I approached the “General manager” (or so he claims) Luke Norman and told him I was Leaving with or without the trade and if he is insistant on buying my car that does not obligate me to buy his bosses car. Clearly he was either unaware of the negative equity or just incompetent in either case he was rude and arrogant to say the least. Maybe he refused to talk to us simply because we are Mexican or maybe because we are retired Army while he is a marine? Who knows but I reminded him that his company claims to have never been to arbitration before and he would be the first manager to get them there, I suppose it’s fitting since he was a marine and they claim to be “first in everything“ what a way to chase off your fellow veterans especially those who choose to spend their money at the establishment you claim to be generally managing . Luke Norman was quick to point out that “in the state of NC if you sign a contract and drive off with a car Then congratulations, you now own that car” he further stated I’m either gonna pay him $1500 to get my trade back or pay the 1% restocking fee but He failed to realize they cannot get the title to my trade until I pay off the negative equity. He seemed to be more excited about a $1,300 restocking fee then the $37,000 he would have sold the Volvo for. Now I’m gone and I have the trade plus I did not buy their car, it’s sad really because our sales rep David tried his best to complete the deal with his Excellent customer service. It’s too bad Luke Norman would rather run off Paying customers because we will buy a Volvo somewhere! I feel bad for David Taveras and the sales staff that have to work under Lucas Norman’s toxic leadership always yelling and cursing st them if he does this in front of customers I can only imagine what he does behind closed doors. I overheard him scolding an employee for not addressing him with a “yes sir” Wow is all I can say! BUYER BEWARE THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR RETURN POLICY! More

Excellent Experience with Melody in sales & Kiran in finance Fantastic experience from Melody McGlame in Sales to Kiran Narapareddy in Finance. Melody was extremely knowledgeable on the vehicle. She provided a Fantastic experience from Melody McGlame in Sales to Kiran Narapareddy in Finance. Melody was extremely knowledgeable on the vehicle. She provided a lot of insight on the options and walked us through the full inventory Hanna had on the BMW 330i's and 340i's. She took her time to make sure we were comfortable with the performance of the car and answered all questions during each test drive. She quickly pulled up the Carfax and ownership records to let us know the history of the car. She followed up with us the next day and did exactly what she said she would do to make sure we were satisfied with the purchase. Kiran excelled at answering all our questions during the finance phase and outlined all the options available to us. Like Melody, he followed up to make sure we were satisfied and did everything we asked. Not always said when you buy a car, but this was a very pleasant experience. More

Do not buy a vehicle...and definitely not the GAP insurance. I ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 89 DAYS. THE GAP COMPANY SAID IT WAS OVER FINANCED BY THE DEALERSHIP. I purchased a 2013 Lexus RX 350 from Ha insurance. I ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 89 DAYS. THE GAP COMPANY SAID IT WAS OVER FINANCED BY THE DEALERSHIP. I purchased a 2013 Lexus RX 350 from Hanna Imports November 29th 2019. It was totaled on February 28 2020. It was sold with bad tires and had supposedly passed the state inspection (not truthfully). The great thing is, they did put a new set of tires on the vehicle. They did not align them properly so I had to come back to get that done again after the new tires were put on. The car was never properly cleaned and I had to remove the "To be removed by dealership only" stickers on the floorboards of the car. I never had problems with the vehicle with the exception that it was not reconditioned. However, my car got totaled 89 days after purchase through no fault of my own. The so called GAP insurance was 895.00 that the finance manager at Hanna Imports sold to me stating that any negative balance would be covered if something were to happen to the vehicle. Now, finance managers know what they're doing. I put 200.00 fown when I purchased the car. When the finance company filed the GAP claim after it was totaled, the GAP company, Protective, only paid 541.00 of the 1582.00 remaining balance, leaving me with 987.00 to pay out of my pocket which is more than the GAP premium. So basically, it looks like the dealership pocketed some money. At leastyhatbis what the GAP company says. I reached out to the finance manager at Hanna Imports twice and no one will call me back which seems like bad faith to me. When you offer a GAP policy with the words, if your car is totaled for any reason this GAP policy will cover it, make sure it is true and financed within the guidelines you are fully aware of. That is what I was told. However, the finance managers know what parameters they're supposed to stay within for the "policies" they sell to customers and they intentionally did the opposite in my situation and I'm sure I'm not the only one. They seem to lack a bit of integrity so I will not purchase another vehicle from Hanna Imports. Now I have to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the state Attorney General's office...a hassle in an already stressful situation. My advice...Ask the finance manager to do the math directly in front of you and keep it for future reference. UPDATE: SOMEONE RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW ON ANOTHER SITE, BUT I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AND NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK. NICE TRY. More
Well priced cars but hidden charges Hanna Imports have clean and reasonably priced cars, however BEWARE of a hidden charge for KAHU for $600.00 for an app for theft tracking. This char Hanna Imports have clean and reasonably priced cars, however BEWARE of a hidden charge for KAHU for $600.00 for an app for theft tracking. This charge was NEVER disclosed or discussed by Brandon and he assured us it would be credited back to our account. It took many follow up calls, which were mostly unreturned. We then called management, again no returned call. The final step was with the Better Business Bureau and suddenly, it was resolved, after 3 weeks of waiting. This seems to be a fraudulent attempt at making extra profit and I don't think it's a wise business practice to lose your reputation over for $600.00 extra profit. Maybe Hanna Imports doesn't rely on repeat business! More
