I watched all the newer customers come in, wait, and go. No one ever checked in on me to explain why the longer wait time...I figured they had found an issue with my 15,000 mile check up and were dealing with it. I finally stood up and walked to the service window and saw my work order laying on the desk. I stayed standing looking into the room 20 minutes until personnel came in to his area and saw me scowling and pointing to the desk area. He walked over to the paperwork and came to the door called my name and I walked out with him...told him I was NOT happy with such a long wait...what was the problem and he couldn't explain, didn't know how it happened, but went over the work order saying everything was great...somebody slipped up, Hope I didn't pick up the virus while I was sitting those extra hours!! Nasty service manager Purchased first Venza at Handy Toyota in 2009. Purchased second Venza at Della Toyota in New York State as Handy could not match deal. 5k,10k,15k, Purchased first Venza at Handy Toyota in 2009. Purchased second Venza at Della Toyota in New York State as Handy could not match deal. 5k,10k,15k,20k,25k,30k mile services all performed at Handy Toyota since Handy is much closer to residence than Della. At 30k, brakes checked and were verified to be operating correctly. This service was performed 1/11/16. 7/5/16 Master cylinder replaced without charge. Problem with brakes had been previously reported. 3/30/17 Problems with brakes reported to Handy's and looked at by their service department. Master cylinder inspected and no leaks found. They bled brakes. They suspected internal seal failure of calipers. **My local service man did not agree; said it was the master cylinder 5/15/2017 front calipers replaced at Handy's for $343.04. Again, my service person said if it was the calipers, brake failure would be sudden. 10/27/2017 Brought car in to Handy's because of problem with brakes. They said brakes were operating as designed. 11/17/2017 Concern with brakes. Discussed with local service person; get them looked at. Called Handy; first available time is Nov.27th. I asked, can't I just come in for 5 minutes for you o look at brakes? No, we are too busy. I asked to speak to service manager; said this was run by the service manager. No one higher up the food chain is available. Called Heritage; first available time is 2nd week in December. Called Della, Nov. 21 at 11:30 am; will call if any cancellations. 11/21/2017 Brought car to Della Toyota. Found low brake pedal, bled brakes, air in right front caliper. Test drove, brakes ok. 12/12/2017 I felt problem with brakes; free diagnostic on breaks by Handy-could not duplicate failure 12/28/2017 After discussions with Handy's, they replaced master cylinder free of charge 1/15/2019 Made appointment at Handy for 3 pm 1/18/2019 to have brakes checked 1/18/2019 The service manager, Joe Luneau, calls at 1 pm to cancel appointment and tells me he doesn't want to see me again. He was not interested in discussing the situation. I never asked that they do the work for free. I was just looking for their expertise on the subject 1/18/2019 call Toyota corp; they will not replace master cylinder. I was upset about this because it appears to me that their must be a problem with the design or manufacture of the master cylinder. 1/23/2019 spoke to Adam Luneau, sales mgr and Joe's brother. Said he will speak to Joe and get back to me. Said he can give me a deal on another vehicle. After that date, neither the service manager, Joe Luneau or the owner, Dan Luneau(Joe's dad) would return my calls. I don't think that is a very professional way to conduct business. I don't know if that is the way they conduct business in general. I feel others should be aware of what they did in my situation. Again, I didn't ask for anything for free; I just wanted them to check my brake system. More
Treats Women Poorly You know what I despise? The way car dealerships and service centers talk to, and treat, women! Just because I am a woman, doesn't mean I am stupid a You know what I despise? The way car dealerships and service centers talk to, and treat, women! Just because I am a woman, doesn't mean I am stupid and gullible when it comes to my car. I went to the service department for a flat tire on my leased vehicle. The first thing Tiffany asked me was, "coming for service? Do you have an appointment?" I replied, "no I have a flat tire (partial flat)." Her response was, "well you've ruined your tire because you drove on it..... now you need a new tire." And she walked away from me. She further adds, "and since you didn't make an appointment, you're looking at an hour and 45 minutes." I replied, "well, I don't schedule my flat tires.....and I wasn't going to stay at the Vet." (I had my 6 month old puppy with me). So I go into the waiting area with my dog and shortly afterward, Tiffany approaches me. "We can't replace just the one tire.....you need to get 4 new tires......and we only have snow tires." My response was, "I don't need 4 tires..... I'm not buying 4 tires." She STRONGLY urged 4 tires; repeatedly throughout my THREE HOUR disaster! She stated that my current tires "aren't going to last me until March" and informed me that "in order to turn in my leased vehicle that I need to buy a new set of tires." She added, "I will go ask my Sales Manager, Jamie Shea about this." She came back stating that neither she, NOR HE, knew the answer to requiring me to replace all 4 tires before lease-end. She advised ME to call Toyota Financial to find out. So I called. Of course I don't have to purchase 4 new tires!! Not required!! Then Tiffany comes back and says "I strongly advise you to get at least 2 then." I refused. She rolled her eyes. While talking with Toyota Financial, the leasing dept suggested turning the lease in early instead of purchasing tires. She gave me Jamie Shea's name as the "Lease Loyalty Representative." She advised that he would go over my options. I approached Jamie who didn't have a clue what the leasing dept explained to me. He did NOT explain options; he didnt give me the time of day! He interrupted me several times to talk to other people. When he was done wasting his time with me, he looked at MY DOG and said, "well goodbye, now!" He told me, "maybe I'll call you tomorrow." No phone call of course. I went back to the service dept to check the status of my flat tire and Tiffany AGAIN pointed out that I had not made an appointment and that "I took so long making a decision as to purchasing 1 tire, 2 tires, or 4 tires," so now I was looking at another HOUR. I had already been there for TWO. God forbid I didn't schedule my flat tire! I gave her that answer every time she told me that I didn't make an appointment. Nicely suggest 4 new tires ONCE, not FIVE times. Mention a longer wait time ONCE, not 5 times because I didn't make an appointment. We have been loyal to this dealership for over 17 years. Even having the same salesperson for those 17 years. We loved our salesperson, Ali. He had been wonderful, but in the last few weeks this dealership has left us hanging. We've been trying to make a deal for over 3 weeks. No return calls, no responses, and lack of communication between Sam Farrar, the Sales Manager, and Ali Kamal, our Salesman. Tiffany in the service department even had the audacity to ask me for "all 10's" when filling out the survey! I think NOT!! In the end, I was overcharged a disposal fee, which Tiffany promised to refund, and the Service Dept didn't bother to fill up the rest of my tires or turn off the tire pressure indicator light. I will not recommend, or return, to this dealership. We have since visited Heritage Toyota and purchased another vehicle. We were treated respectfully and with great kindness. I was treated like a second-class citizen at Handy Toyota. They have lost our business and our respect. More

Unexpectedly Pleasant Service Visit I went in to Handy's needing service on 2006 Sienna. While wandering around the lot to kill time I came across this Tacoma pickup. Wade asked me if I I went in to Handy's needing service on 2006 Sienna. While wandering around the lot to kill time I came across this Tacoma pickup. Wade asked me if I would like to take it for a test drive, no pressure. Even though I wasn't really looking for a new vehicle - it was a pickup... it's a guy thing I guess. After the test drive it was hard to hide the fact I was in love with the truck. After a little negotiating and what I thought was a more than fair trade-in offer for my Sienna I was the proud owner of a Toyota Tacoma. I would call my experience with Wade and Handy's very pleasant. More
