I have a problem with thee weatherstripping on my 2019 Tundra (Windshield and driver's side doors). I made an appointment and brought my vehicle in to have the issues repaired. The maintenance representative (Brent - a ZZ TOP wannaB) was not helpful. I believe this to be a manufacturers defect. He argued with me that it wasn't . I asked to speak with the maintenance manager and Brent asked me why. I told him to please get the maintenance manager (Tom Jardell) so I could relay my concerns. I bought this vehicle December 2018 and the weatherstripping is already deteriorating. It turns out that Toyota uses two-sided tape about the size of a nickel to hold the corners of the door weatherstripping. The weatherstripping on the upper windshield is just inserted and not attached with anything. Tom and Brent indicated I needed to pay in excess of $2,000 completely change the weatherstripping. SSHOCKED AND DISAPPOINTED to say the least. $2000 for two-sided tape!!!. My wife needs a new vehicle. She wants something similar to her GMC Yukon. I was thinking of a Sequoia. I am not thinking about that anymore. If Hampton can't fix this I will be sending pictures and a formal complaint to Toyota, Plano, TX. More
Hampton Toyota has the worst service department I have ever dealt with. Would give a ZERO but that is not an option on this review board. I will NEVER have a vehicle serviced nor will I ever purchase a vehicle from Hampton Toyota. I asked to have the transmission oil, filter & gasket changed on my 2014 Tundra. First I was told there is NO filter for the transmission oil. FALSE. There is a filter and gasket for the transmission oil pan. After the incompetent Service Dept. worker found out there is a gasket, I was given an appointment at 7 am on 12-31-21. When I arrived for the appointment I asked about the service that was to be done on my vehicle and was told they do not replace the filter when changing the transmission oil, that it is flushed out with a chemical and the oil pan is not removed nor is the filter replaced. I specifically asked for the oil, filter & gasket to be replaced since the gasket has a slight leak. I was told by the service writer that they do not do that. What type of mechanic shop does not replace a leaking gasket and transmission oil filter when asked to do so? I would like to know how many customers get screwed by Hampton Toyota. Especially people that do not know better. Total waste of my time. I left with my vehicle and will have it serviced by someone competent and whom will do the worked that is asked. The only bright side is I asked before any work was done so I would not have to return with a still leaking gasket and overcharged for a service I would not have received. I am sure there are many customers that think they are treated well by Hampton but in reality being screwed because they don't know anything about their vehicles and rely on service departments being honest. I guess you can't trust anyone these days. Hope this review saves people from being taken advantage of by Hampton Toyota. B. Lavergne More
I brought my car to the dealership last weekend to have the Toyota Cares and Auto Butler done. I had several spots of sap on my car which I told Brent my advisor. I said please make sure to remove it before doing the auto butler. I get home and still have sap on my car. I called to complain and he told me that they just do the auto butler over it. I said WRONG. I had the same issue the time before and told my advisor and it was removed. So you just did the auto butler over it sealing the sap in even more. He assure me that he would have a manager call me this past Wednesday. No one ever called me. This is my 4th Toyota I have owned. Every time I have had issues it is with the service department. Not only do they lie to you they make promises they can't keep. What happened to customer service? The service department is the absolute worst. More

Poor Quality Control in service department I have purchased two vehicles from this dealer in the last 4 years. A Tacoma and a Yaris. Service was good until 2019 when they over filled the Tacoma I have purchased two vehicles from this dealer in the last 4 years. A Tacoma and a Yaris. Service was good until 2019 when they over filled the Tacoma with more than 2 quarts too much oil. Caused problems, fortunately I caught it within 75 miles. They made a mistake and re-did the oil change. Ok, mistakes happen. July 2020, the overfilled my daughter's Yaris. They claimed to solve the issue when I went back but it was still overfilled. Overfilling engine oil can seriously damage an engine. Seems like one could easily check the dip stick after changing the oil to ensure proper oil level. Great sales team, terrible service post 2019. Too bad, if you cannot depend on the service team you may need to consider another dealership. More
