I am a longtime customer of Hampton Toyota, over a decade of servicing my vehicles there. I have also purchased 4 vehicles (2015 Highlander Hybrid, 2021 RAV4 Hybrid, 2021 Corolla, and 2024 Venza Hybrid) from of servicing my vehicles there. I have also purchased 4 vehicles (2015 Highlander Hybrid, 2021 RAV4 Hybrid, 2021 Corolla, and 2024 Venza Hybrid) from Hampton Toyota. I state this to give an idea as to the scope and breadth of my experiences over the years. The following review is just my personal experience, and may not indicate every customers experience. The sales and financing departments have always been a pleasure to deal with. While buying a car is inherently a tedious and drawn out affair, I felt the Hampton team did their best to assist me through the process efficiently. More importantly, they did so without any aggressive sales tactics, or unexplained price changes/hidden fees. My most recent sales associate, Jett Landry, was a prime example of the above statements. We discussed my plan and goals for the visit, trading in one car for another, and he did his part to make that a reality. The smoothness of the interaction led into me purchasing another new car the following day. Great job on his part! Now for the service department. Let me start by saying, I have never had poor service/maintenance performed on my vehicle at Hampton. The mechanics and technicians have always done the jobs and tasks assigned to them. However, the scheduling, work planning, drop-off/check-in, billing, wait times, shuttle service, pick-up, and service management are varying levels of disappointment. Each of the previous experiences have left me either disappointed, angry, or irate. I live fairly close by, and I want so bad to get my vehicles serviced at Hampton, but each time I try they find a new way to make it more infuriating than the last. I am not sure why this department is so consistent in its ability to make even the simplest experience (Auto-butler and wash) unbearable. I have delt with several other dealerships in the area (Giles, Price Leblanc, Courtesy, and Sterling) everyone of them beats Hamptons service department by miles. Thankfully, Toyotas never break! And when they do, Price Leblanc Toyota isn't to far away. So there you have my review: The Toyota Brand - Five Stars! The Hampton Sales and Financing Teams - Five Stars! The Hampton Service Department - 1 Star. Buy your car here, service it anywhere else. More
