Hampton Toyota has an awesome sales department. The service department on the other hand is a joke. Brought in our 2020 Highlander for having shakes when the brakes were applied. Once we got the vehicle out of the shop, it still had the same shake. Brought it back in again took the shop foreman for a ride he acknowledged the shakes and a problem with the rotors. But now want to charge $1000 to replace the rotors. Got tired of being jerked around by this shop, so I brought it to another shop and was shown by the mechanics that the rotors were never shaved. Now there are no shakes when the brakes are applied and was only charged $50. It’s a shame that the mom and Pop shops are so much better than a certified dealership service department. More
This was my third truck purchase from Dallas. As always, he is courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to secure the second key to my truck from the previous owner. This was my first time buying a car on my own and I was very excited to see the Volkswagen Tiguan that had been on their lot for one year. I drove an hour and a half from Baton Rouge after texting the sale very excited to see the Volkswagen Tiguan that had been on their lot for one year. I drove an hour and a half from Baton Rouge after texting the salesman, Elijah, the day before and he offered me a deal that I was going to take. I came to the dealership after taking off of work for the day under the impression that Elijah and the dealership would honor their word, which I have in writing from Elijah. Once I got to the dealership Elijah told me again that the car was mine for the deal we discussed. I was on the phone with my credit union and insurance company getting ready to buy this car that they had for a YEAR and should've been ready to get off of their lot. I walked over to them after they had left me sitting at the table for 30 minutes after we discussed closing the deal and Elijah proceeded to tell me they were not going to honor my trade in value they had given me in person that day, or the deal on the car that he had texted me about the day before and wrote out for me and had me SIGN on that day as well. They were completely unfazed and told me that the price difference wasn't a "big deal." These people, in my opinion, are extremely unintelligent and rude people. I would absolutely never recommend them to anyone. For people who were so worried about having "overspent" on the car in the first place and wanting to get it off their lot, they were not trying very hard. They should have honored their word, that is good business. Side note, the finance manager was an idiot. More
