This review is for the management. I recently had my car spark plugs replaced and flushed the coolant and break fluid. Before leaving, I popped up the hood and surprisingly foun I recently had my car spark plugs replaced and flushed the coolant and break fluid. Before leaving, I popped up the hood and surprisingly found a hammer tucked between the battery and the engine air intake system. Brought the hammer inside, gave it to the service manager and told him about the hammer I found in my engine compartment. He took the hammer, and immediately started looking at the paperwork of my car and the name of the technician instead of apologizing to me about the negligence of his technician. He never apologized. At least the other person sitting behind the counter apologized to me. The service manager should be the one apologizing and be courteous to his customer and not one of the employees. I'm not sure what’s going on with the managers of Hamilton VW including the sales manager. They don’t know how to greet their customers or maybe it's just me (us). Last Nov 2022, we bought an ID4 and spent a good time before signing the sales. Surprisingly, we never noticed the the sales manager greeting us when we were at the show room while he passed us multiple times to get a smoke outside. Three times to be exact. At least, he entertained me by watching him going back and forth every time he’s going out to smoke. I have no complaints about the salesman, Rick and Ginny from the service dept. They are great and wonderful people. They always say hi, hello with a smile and will chat a little bit. More
Took over a month to schedule, poor communication throughout day and was not ready when originally planned for. Had a courtesy car with tank at 15/16 full. Drove 8 miles to and from my home during th throughout day and was not ready when originally planned for. Had a courtesy car with tank at 15/16 full. Drove 8 miles to and from my home during the service but was then hit with a $7.48 charge the next day for “not returning with a full tank.” Despite the fact that the tank was not full to start and I used less than a gallon of gas (car gets 22-25 miles per gallon). Very disappointed and reached out to the service manager the next day with my concern and have still not received any follow up after 6 days. Will not utilize their service again. More
