We are confident that oil was replaced at your last service because you drove 5000 miles without noise or incident. The Nissan technician heard what appeared to be an internal engine noise. Based upon your description and our technician's inspection it would be likely that your vehicle had an oil consumption issue. This diagnosis was affirmed with review of Honda's bulletins and class action lawsuit naming oil consumption problems for your specific vehicle. I also reviewed your service history and found you to be a loyal customer getting your complimentary oil changes completed with us. I also saw where services including a timing belt was recommended and you had declined. We do appreciate your business and would be happy to continue to service your car. Thank you for your response however if I were to have brought the vehicle into your shop to be fixed, your techs would have torn down the engine for nothing and probably charged me labor and a diagnosis fee..it should have been a easy diagnosis for a seasoned tech..Im sure Honda isn't that much different than a Nissian when it comes to timing issues ..I realize that the last time I was in, I had been notified of the timing belt recommendation and my husband declined at the time because of the costly repair..we had every intention to do it when we could do it financially..I'm not complaining that u did anything about the timing belt..I'm complaining that I went a wk thinking I had a engine issue because I trusted the review of your service dept., ...the vehicle is now fixed and it runs perfectly sound now thanks to Hagerstown Honda
