There was no pressure, no leading us to buy a particular vehicle, just him asking us what we were interested in. We will definitely recommend Brandon and this dealership to anyone looking to buy a vehicle and will return to Hamilton whenever the need arises for a new vehicle for us again. Must have been an "OFF" day for some. Usually, I find this location to be at the top of their game, but for some reason, this visit was less than appreciable. I had two major problems, one with customer service and one with the tech's performance. In defense of the entire operation, I must add that I did not have an appointment, so I could not expect immediate service, but....regardless of that, I should be able to expect to be greeted promptly by an associate who was directed to assist me, which he did not even acknowledge my presence right in front him at the service desk. He did not even bother to look at me and simply kept on typing on his computer. After a few minutes, another associate noticed, and came over from a different station and asked if he could help me. I think that was extremely rude and disrespectful, and I at least expect that when I approach a service counter, if I'm right in front of you, that you would let me know that you'll be right with me, or some type of acknowledgement. So, the second associate who went out of his way to help me did a great job, and he also suggested some additional needed maintenance, which I was unaware of, so I asked him to go ahead and add that with my regular maintenance service. To recap, the first guy simply ignored me, and I could really sense the irritation that he had, and I'm not sure what was going with him, but I assume he was mad that he was directed to help me, but either way, I felt that he should have at least acknowledged me standing there. The guy that finally helped me was Nick, and I was pleased with his customer service. The second problem I had was with the technician's performance. When I got home, I checked under the hood, since there was knocking sound coming form the passenger side when I turn the steering wheel, but couldn't notice anything hanging or loose, etc. It's the same noise that was supposedly addressed a couple of visits ago, and we were told it was a loose bracket or something simple, and it was taken care of. So, that's bothering me, and also, the tech spilled coolant all over the fan housing and the plastic covered area under the hood and left it there, which dried and left ugly pale blue stains. I was able to clean it off, but I thought that was sloppy. I also noticed that the overflow tank is well below the low level mark (there's a high and a low clearly stenciled on it) after they supposedly flushed the coolant system. When I see things like that, I start wondering, well, if they left that low, hows the oil level, other fluid levels, etc? They serviced the fuel system too, should I be concerned about quality there, too? Everyone is entitled to a bad day once in a while, so I'm not too concerned about the rude service associate, I'm sure he's doing the best he can, and the coolant stains under the hood is just cosmetic, but it does speak to the standards that the tech sets for him/herself. It's the low coolant level that really bothers me. But, as a retired mechanic, I can top it off myself, and I will be keeping an eye on the other fluids, etc. As far as the clunking noise on the passenger side, I will be bringing it in as soon as I get time, to have it checked again. Since I purchased an extended maintenance schedule, I don't have choice but to continue using this location, but I'm not happy about it. More
