Car was offered well below KBB at pretty much what I expected was a fair price and trade was equally valued. Finance rate was exactly where it should be. Due to this professionalism and fair pricing of the vehicle ...I was able to buy a car in 90 minutes. I have co-workers that have recommended Hallmark and now I know why. Buyer Beware - Ask if the new car was ever used as a rental Buyer Beware – Ask if the the “new” car was used as a loaner, rental, courtesy car. Recently I found a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 listed as a “new” v Buyer Beware – Ask if the the “new” car was used as a loaner, rental, courtesy car. Recently I found a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 listed as a “new” vehicle for sale during my search at Hallmark Hyundai. I decided to leave a message inquiring about it and I had Sales Manager VictorS. give me a call. He worked out a deal with me over the phone before I traveled from GA to TN to purchase the vehicle. When I got there I was treated nicely but because I was purchasing the vehicle and taking it back to GA, GA taxed was not factored in the deal made over the phone. Sales Manager Victor S., Sales Consultant Marc F. and the General Manager John F. worked to resolve the issue of the taxes in order for us to make a deal. Once I left with the car I soon found out that there was some shaking with the vehicle when it reached 70 mph. I immediately called Sales Consultant Marc. F. about the issue and he told me I could take it to the Hyundai dealer near my house and they should be able to work out the issue. He would also check on the other Genesis to see if they had he issue also. When I took the car to my local Hyundai dealer in Warner Robins, GA the Service Manager did a warranty check on the car and found out the the car was not in my name and that the warranty on the car started May 2015. Immediately called Hallmark Hyundai and I spoke with the General Manager John F. about the issue. I then he informed me of the history of the Genesis. I was informed that the Genesis was used as a “service rental” car and was driven by staff and the dealer’s wife and placed back in the inventory as new. This was part of a HMA South Central Region program. He explained that is why the car was listed at a low sale price. I then told General Manager John F. that no one during the process of the sale of the Genesis mentioned that the car was used as a rental. Every kept saying it was a “new” car. Even the Carfax listed the car as “new” but no mention of it used as a “service rental”. And the dealer sticker listed as new but on one mentioned it ever being used as a rental. Not only that but after I was going over the car at home I found a large courtesy car sticker folded under the hood near engine of the car and a rental agreement in the glove box. It was the then that General Manager John F. apologized for this and stated he would make it right. He would also send me a letter stating about the car being used as a “service rental”. After taking the car to my local Hyundai again the general service manager told me that one of the front tires was warped and would be replaced on the warranty. However when he did a warranty check again he found that the car was in my name but the date on the warranty was still started back in May 2015. I then called back Hall Hyundai about the warranty not reflecting the date I purchased it but May 2015. The Sales Manager Victor spoke with me about this and said he believe there is something we should be able to do to compensate for the warranty starting May 2015. He said he would speak with his General Manager John F. about it. Later I spoke with the General Manager John F. about the warranty not starting on the date I purchased it but still showing that it was May 2015. I asked could the warranty start on the date I purchased the vehicle, Feb 13, 2016. He then told me there was nothing he could do about it. I then asked was there any way that Hallmark Hyundai could offer me an extended warranty or some type of compensation for the dealership not being straight forward about the warranty and the history of the car. He stated they are not going to offer me anything. He felt that I got a deal on the car. If I didn’t like the car then bring it back to TN and he would give me back my car I traded for it. But my problem was not the deal but the fact that Hallmark Hyundai was not being honest about the history of the car. As we continued to discuss the matter he began to raise his voice at me, and I reminded General Manager John F. that I had not raised my voice about the issue neither should he towards me. It was then the conversation ended. Again if you purchase a vehicle from Hallmark Hyundai and it is listed as “new” with a huge slash in price. Please ask if the vehicle has ever been used as a “service loaner” and does the car have the full warranty and if they can show you that the vehicle has a full warranty at the time of sale. More
