We settled on a 2010 Optima LX and she lined everything up for later that evening for me to work with Russ Hersey. Russ was also a pleasure to work with. Over the years I have purchased several different cars from several different dealers and I have to say that our recent experience with Russ Hersey and Halleen Kia was among the very best. When my wife and I decided to visit Halleen Kia, we had already made up our mind that we definitely wouldn't buy a car that day. We were, frankly, most concerned about an over-aggressive salesperson pushing us to make a deal too soon. When we were quickly approached by a salesperson (who turned out to be Russ) I have to admit we said 'Oh oh' to ourselves -- waiting for the pushy approach we dreaded. However, Russ's very friendly, incredibly patient, refreshingly low-key approach was not only appreciated but created the desired result for the dealer: we left the dealership having leased one car and purchased another. Another thing I want to point out is the fact that despite having personal plans for the evening, Russ gladly (and without complaint) stayed a couple hours past closing time (as did the finance person, named Oleg, I believe, who was also very pleasant and professional) in order to make sure all the paperwork was in order and our two cars were ready to take home that same evening. While we've only had the cars for a couple of weeks -- and the jury is, of course, still out as to the ongoing performance of the two new cars -- my wife and I are, so far, very pleased with the vehicles. However, I have to admit that what we were most pleased with was the personable, low-key, low-pressure style and very high level of professionalism and customer service demonstrated by our salesperson, Russ Hersey.
