He took it right over to the service area and had it removed while we waited. Very proactive. Like any transaction on a large purchase, you never really know if there was any room on price, or if he read me and just wouldn't budge. But he was fair and the price on the vehicle was good. While I'm sure the other salespeople are also very nice, I will always ask for him, and recommend him highly. There are two points of feedback I would like to have considered. 1. The purchase process itself (after agreement) seemed to take a very long time. It would be better to let the buyer know what is going on during that time. Even if it's,"There are people ahead of you" or "The bank takes an hour or so to get back to us." I still have no idea what took so long. Communication always helps. 2. I understand it's the Finance guy's role to sell the extended warranty. And putting the price in terms of repair costs or addition to the monthly payment helps put things in perspective, but after I declined several times I asked if I could still purchase it after that day. He said I had until the end of the month. I told him right then that I do not respond well to high-pressure sales. I do my research and make an informed decision. In my mind we wasted a bunch of time on that part of the deal. More

He has always provided the correct appropriate repair and service to my car and never tries to up sell me on thing I didn’t need. In the parts department I worked with Vicky on numerous occasions and she too has always provided me with the right parts and at appropriate costs. The Service Manage Fred Phillips whom I worked with for years also he provided service to my mom’s Toyota Camry and she would have no other than him do work for her. He now the service manager and is still providing excellent service to our cars, this team is wonderful to work with and a pleasure to see each time I’m there for car service. They all provide excellent service at reasonable costs to my family sense we bought our 2001. Sienna. More

Amazing experience and highly satisfied The “buying a car experience” is definitely not something everyone looks forward to because of the hassle it seems to be. HOWEVER, my experience with The “buying a car experience” is definitely not something everyone looks forward to because of the hassle it seems to be. HOWEVER, my experience with Charles Barker and my salesman, Steve Slaven, was incredible. This was my first time buying a car, and from start to finish (stopping in to look at pricing, Steve’s follow up via call/emails, actually purchasing), I genuinely looked forward to going into the dealership. I didn’t feel that I was harassed or contacted too many times prior to buying, and although I’m not typically one to call a salesman back to check in and figure out the next time to come in, I felt comfortable to do that with Steve. He’s very professional, though personable and relatable. I did not feel that he was just trying to sell another car or take advantage of me AT ALL, but he made a connection and helped me feel comfortable with my decision to buy! I did do some research in pricing/budget prior to buying. When I went in to Charles Barker Toyota with the intention to buy, he and his team were able to work with my budget and what I could afford. Even the finance manager, Ben, was very professional, personable, and explained everything effectively. He answered all of my questions as a first time car buyer and talked to me as a person, not just a customer. I felt valued and considered throughout my finance experience, as well. Overall, I was very pleased with my entire experience and was so glad I had the pleasure to work with the employees that I did! 10/10 experience, for sure! I would 100% recommend everyone that is in the market for a Toyota, head to Charles Barker and definitely ask to work with Steve and Ben! More
