Unless you want to toss money out the window...do not take your car here for service! I had my car towed to Hall for repairs. It is the first time I have had trouble with the car since I purchased it. It take your car here for service! I had my car towed to Hall for repairs. It is the first time I have had trouble with the car since I purchased it. It would not start and we were unable to jump start it. Very shortly after dropping it off, Joe in service called my husband to let him know the alternator, the battery, AND the starter all needed to be replaced. This came with a price tag of $967 plus tax. Now, we don't know a whole lot about cars, but the starter seemed pretty unlikely. My husband asked Joe a few questions..basically trying to get him to say the starter might be ok or something along those lines. Joe's final word on it was, "the starter is definitely bad..it needs to be replaced". I didn't trust it. We decided to have the car towed to another shop. We went to Hall to meet the tow truck so we could go in and get the keys. When I told Joe we were taking the car, he said, "ok..we'll start getting it down and get it all buttoned up for you"...trying to make me think they were still working on it! I said...well that shouldn't be necessary..I just saw it in the parking lot...in the same spot we left it in yesterday. I got crickets..then he got me the key. I had the car towed to Logan's which is right down the street and they were awesome! The car was fixed in about 2 hours and for less than half the cost. The starter that so badly NEEDED to be replaced is still on my car and working perfectly fine. HALL IS DISHONEST and I will NEVER take my car there again...not even for a free oil change!!! More
Without a doubt the worst experience I have had purchasing a vehicle in over 30 years...They are more concerned about numbers then the customer..Vehicle had to go back twice to get cleaned, had to purchasing a vehicle in over 30 years...They are more concerned about numbers then the customer..Vehicle had to go back twice to get cleaned, had to ask for a user manual and extra key...Was never shown how to use the top and or radio etc...Was never shown the service area or who to contact if I have problems w/the jeep..They took all my personnel belongings out of my trade-in vehicle and stuck it in the sales person desk drawer and never told me, had to ask where are my things...The only good thing about Hall on VB blvd was Mike Brown finance guy, worked the rates and took care of me..I would not recommend this dealership to anyone..The sales man was more concerned about going home then making a deal, never returned my calls and or communicated my offers to the manager...If I have any issues with the jeep I will take my business to Chesapeake since I have no idea where the service department is located at Hall. When I bought my Ford I was shown service area, spent 20 minutes with the sales man on how to use the SYNC system etc...Hall needs to take a few lessons from Ford on customer service..Again, don't waste your time at this dealership. We were in the store looking for a new journey. We rented one so our eyes were set on a new one. Eric is who we net first. He was helpful and for the most part knew his job. It was the finance manager who ne one so our eyes were set on a new one. Eric is who we net first. He was helpful and for the most part knew his job. It was the finance manager who needed more training. All we wanted were soild figures to tell our bank, as we were not seeking finance from another source. After wasting 4hours of our time, we left and came back the next day. This time Eric was not there, we walked around the office looking for Eric it help. No one not the manager or staff said hello or offered to help until I asked my husband "do you wanna just go to the other dodge dealership?" Then someone asks if we needed help.... Lol really? Who does that? I'm sure the head of operations would love to know this.. my advice DON'T GO TO HALL... Everyone but Eric walks around like zombies. We ended up purchasing at another Dodge dealership. The Price of the vehicle was great. The sales consultant Mauri Wimbush, was great. He was very friendly and answered what ever questions we threw at him. He is always ready to help when ever called. The iss Mauri Wimbush, was great. He was very friendly and answered what ever questions we threw at him. He is always ready to help when ever called. The issue I had is I purchased an after market sun room at the time of purchase. It has taken numerous calls to the office with little to no return calls on the status to get clearification. They refused to provide a rental and I've been reduced to contacting Dodge Customer Service. This was the 3rd vehicl eI have purchased from Hall and may very well be my last. More
Our car buying experience was the easiest we have ever had. By using USAA buying service we did not have to spend hours negotiating price. Pet Vazquez was great and very helpful in this process. had. I have been in the south for about 7yrs now & I still can't figure out why these dealerships play with the numbers at the end of the deal. The last three days were a waste of my time, my wife and d still can't figure out why these dealerships play with the numbers at the end of the deal. The last three days were a waste of my time, my wife and daughters time & my in-laws time! The sad part is, my in-laws have purchased 3 vehicles from them in the past. When customer says they need to be at a certain number for a payment due to there budget.... More than likely they excpect GAP insurance to be included in the payment that you show to them. Nobody doesnt buy NEW cars without gap insurance. If the local dealer cannot bundle in the price due to local state laws, when customer first tells you the payment they need to be at, it would be common sense to ask the customer if they are including GAP in that payment, so that they can include it in the proposal that the customer authorized. Soo... they take us out of our car on Sunday and put us in the truck. They transfer the tags as well and the stuff from the car to the truck. I leave Sunday with the payment of $415.00 quoted by he Sales Manager Todd. Was already more than what I wanted to pay. I told them between $380-$400, so I gave in to $415. They tell us to come back tomorrow to finalize the paper work because that day the banks are closed, no problem. So we come back the following afternoon. So about 5min after we get there, I am told by my sales person GLEN,(which is a GREAT SALESPERSON!)that they shortened the loan by 3 months and the payment went up $5.00 more a month. Now I am irritated but I gave in again! So now they got the truck getting detailed and fueled up for delivery, mind you my tags are already on it. They already burned 'x' amount of man hours on this deal! So about 45min later the finance manager comes to me and introduces himself (another great guy by the way) and shows me this sheet with additional options with 4 more different payments. I called it the 'xxxxxxxx' sheet. them tryin to upsale you on paint protection and all this other garbage and ext warranty crap. Its a NEW truck. The FACTORY warranty works just fine. And the paint has a factory clear coat. So while looking at these upgraded packages, he kept saying they all include GAP insurance, so I am like, Is GAP ins. included in the payment that was quoted to me. He says with GAP ins. the payment will be $427.00. So it went from $380-$400, $415, $420 and the final number $427. So I say I want the truck with GAP ins for $415.00 a month or I want my car back. So they decided to lose the customer and they gave me my car back over $12 a month. In my eyes and many others, thats BAD bussiness! More
I am so tired of taking my Van in for an oil change or state inspection, then being pushed to get 200-700 $$ worth of service on top of that. Last week , I took the van in for a state inspection, oil chan state inspection, then being pushed to get 200-700 $$ worth of service on top of that. Last week , I took the van in for a state inspection, oil change and a recall item. They said that I needed several hundred $$ of maintenance, even though I have gotten almost everything they have recommended so far. Their prices are way over priced, Pep Boys is better. And why wasn't I ever offered the "software update" in the three years under warranty? My van only has 29 K miles on it! So I wait 2 and 1/2 hours for the service, then Olivia comes out to tell me that I need all the $$$ stuff. So I go to the cashier to pay, and I find out that they didn't even do the recall item, it would be nice to have been told that they didn't have the part in, instead of me wondering about it...and they didn't even run it through the wash which I specifically requested twice. Not good service. Basically it took 2 1/2 hours to get an oil change and state inspection!!!They are only interested in selling you more service, not doing the stuff that was recalled. I am in the market for a new vehicle, but will not be returning to Hall...Hall Honda is the same, ans we have Civics too.. More
I purchased my 2007 Pacifica new and have gotten all of my service done at the dealership. I have worked with a couple of the service advisers but Baker is the one I look for when I go in. He is always ple my service done at the dealership. I have worked with a couple of the service advisers but Baker is the one I look for when I go in. He is always pleasant, upbeat, and friendly. He advises me on what my vehicle is in need of. He is very helpful on letting me know what is the most important service as opposed to what can wait until the next time I come in, because I always come back. Today I was also helped by Johnny, he was kind enough to give my husband and myself a courtesy ride while my vehicle was being worked on. My vehicle was completed on time as usual. The girls they have working at the check-out are also very nice and helpful. The one I had today told me about a great oil change program they have going on that I will definitely sign up for on my next visit. I always recommend the service department at Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. More
Our experience with Hall was not good and we should of known that from the beginning. My wife and I have been looking at the Town and Country's and she decided to go during her lunch to look since it is c known that from the beginning. My wife and I have been looking at the Town and Country's and she decided to go during her lunch to look since it is close to work. NO ONE would help her. I went there an hour later and actually had to go inside and find one of the salesman who were sitting around, blasting music and doing nothing. At this point they gave me Jim Price who was a very nice salesman and was not pushy which I liked. We took the minivan to where my wife works and let her look at it. A week later we went back ready to buy, my wife only had an hour for lunch again and this is where the fun starts. Their sales manager wanted to play games back and forth even though we did not have time to play games. Then when he came over and sat down with us and presented "HIS BEST PRICE" it was still 2k more then another one we looked at at another dealer. The other one did not have the Nav System or the Sunroof like this one at hall and we took that into consideration when we ran the numbers but it still was 2k more. He then said to meet him in the middle and came back with only $600 less. When we tried to explain this he would not stop talking and kept interrupting me then said I didn't need to raise my voice to him. I got up and walked out and will be the last time I deal with them. I went to Southern Chrysler-Jeep after we left there and wouldn't you know, they were not pushy, they were polite, and they didn't play the games they did at Hall. Walked in, got the paperwork, done.... Also, Hall told us that we could not use the Chrysler/Dodge loyalty discount even though we currently own two dodge products because it would have to own a van/minivan for it to count. Southern had NO problems with it what so ever. We the rebates we calculated ourselves with no problem. Night and day difference between the two dealers and it is a shame. I would recommend Jim Price to anyone but their sales manager is a less desirable. More
I do a lot of my own servicing so i don't visit a dealership's Service Department often. I bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently and have needed a dealers expertise to resolve some issues i'm ha dealership's Service Department often. I bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently and have needed a dealers expertise to resolve some issues i'm having with it. By the way this is my fourth Jeep product since 1978 so i do know a little about them. Olivia Richardson was assigned as my Service Advisor and I really can't do anything but praise my experience with the Service Department. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and goes out of her way to see that your vehicle is taken care of. The technician's also did a great job in diagnosing and servicing my vehicle. I will return to this dealer for service for my Jeep, and i will recommend them to anyone i know that needs their vehicle serviced. I will also specifically recommend to them to ask for Olivia Richardson as their Service Advisor based on my two experiences. I would even go as far to say i would buy my next new vehicle from Hall if this level of service is indicative of what i could expect from the Sales Department. Gotta five 5's across the board. More
