I prefer to deal directly with her rather than any of the others. I have been coming to this dealership since 1999 and used Manhattan Lexus before that. My life is riding in my car and I trust the technicians who keep me safe. Keep up the good work. More
The service department at this dealership is a ripoff. We took our ES350 (purchased at Haldeman) in for inspection. They came back and recommended that the automatic transmission fluid be changed at a cost of $212.64. We went ahead and told them to change the fluid based on their recommendation. When we got the car back, I looked in the service manual. It says that the transmission is a sealed until and that fluid checks and replacement are unnecessary. Why did the dealership recommend a service it knew is unnecessary? In order to change the fluid, they would have had to break the seals on the transmission. How can I be sure that the transmission is sealed as it was before we took it to Haldeman for service? In the past, Haldeman had done an excellent job finding and fixing an issue with the AC unit on this car. I had no reason not to listen to them when they made a recommendation. Based on my latest experience, I can no longer trust Haldeman Lexus of Princeton or any recommendations they make. It appears they mislead customers and recommend unneeded service to generate revenue. Update: 1-18-2023. I spoke to the service manager and he told me that Lexus incorrect about not changing the transmission fluid. He cited Lexus Service Bulletin 0001-11. I looked at the bulletin and it says to inspect the fluid at 100,000 miles but that "ATF-WF does NOT require any flushing or changing during the life of the vehicle." Note: The upper case on the word "NOT" is in the actual bulletin. The service manager told me that Lexus wants buyers to think they do not have to change the transmission fluid because they want the cost of ownership to be lower and that they make more money by selling me a $7,000 transmission when they fail. Experience Amazing ( Service) ! ! Jean and everyone were GREAT. I called for an appointment for routine maintenance and i needed a loaner- they got me in the very same day. I was as ! Jean and everyone were GREAT. I called for an appointment for routine maintenance and i needed a loaner- they got me in the very same day. I was astonished. And they went “ above and beyond “ by fixing two other ( non routine) problems with the car and ALL FOR FREE !! Amazing!! ( well the car is under warrantee- but still). So they really do deserve this 5 star review. ( And they have free food and drinks in the waiting area too 😄) More
Stay away if you value your time and wish to do business with people of integrity. Forget about them keeping their word, they will not even honor signed documents. Make sure you understand their policies if with people of integrity. Forget about them keeping their word, they will not even honor signed documents. Make sure you understand their policies if you are not a local buyer. I would say get everything in writing, but even that may not be enough. Do not risk spending time nor money to travel there expecting the vehicle you had made a deal on, paperwork prepared and delivery appointment time set to actually be there. They will not even extend the courtesy of letting you get to your agreed upon appointment. Whether their actions were due to incompetence or being unethical, neither is acceptable. More
