Estimate on work that is totally unnecessary I brought my Honda Element in to Hagerstown Honda for the airbag recall, and asked them to replace the rear brake backing plates. I left a list of so I brought my Honda Element in to Hagerstown Honda for the airbag recall, and asked them to replace the rear brake backing plates. I left a list of some other minor things that needed to be done and had my phone number at the top of the page. At the end of the day, when I went back to get my truck, the service rep said he had tried calling me all day. He wasn't able to because, instead of using the phone number I had left with them, he called an old work number. They did the airbag and a few other things, but did not replace the backing plates. Then I was told that the truck needed major suspension work and the estimate was over $3000. They also recommended that various fluids (rear differential, brake fluid, etc.) be changed and the estimate for that was $1000. I thought those estimates were high, but being a dealer, I wasn't surprised. I then took my truck to my local mechanic (one whom I have dealt with and trusted for many years). This mechanic said there was "absolutely nothing wrong with the suspension" and that even the backing plates would last another year or so. He did replace all the fluids and the total cost was $166. Yes - One Hundred and Sixty Six dollars! So I went from an estimate of over $4000 down to less than $200. Hagerstown Honda's service department is disreputable and I believe sexist. I've read other reviews that confirm my opinion. I just tried to call the dealership and did not even get an answer. I will not be dealing with Hagerstown Honda any more and would strongly discourage anyone from taking their vehicles there for service. More

Just 7/26/13 we went for 5000 mile service and Ciro took time to set up Bluetooth for me and answered questions my wife and I had. He has also been helpful on our visits. More
Just a week or so after purchasing a new vehicle from this dealership, I started to hear a funny whistling whenever the car would reach a certain speed. As most vehicles don't whistle, I stopped by the dealership to speak with one of the guys who helped us in the purchase (Ryan Dearing) and he stopped what he was doing to hop in the car and have a listen for himself. Once he confirmed that the car was in fact making a noise that it shouldn't, he directed me to service and put me in contact with Ray who immediately set up an appointment for a technician to do a ride-along for further diagnosis. On the day of the appointment, I unwisely scheduled an appointment for 10 am thinking that I'd be wrapped up with everything by then. I got to the dealership at 7:30 am, Bill hopped in and took the ride-along with me so that he could evaluate the sound, was able to immediately tell me what the problem was and we returned to the shop so that they could repair. I was happy with my book & crochet while waiting in THE MOST COMFORTABLE CHAIRS EVER and enjoying coffee & a donut on them. As the time creeped closer to when I needed to leave, Ray was able to relay that information to the technicians and had my paperwork ready for me so that as soon as they had the car finished, I was able to hop in and drive off. My car no longer whistles at me and I (weirdly enough) am looking forward to oil changes, tire rotations and any other type of service needed with the dealer. More
This dealership is customer friendly and extremely courteous. Beside the fact that Honda is a great van, the people there have made this one of the best experiences I have had. I have had so many issues with the service department at Hagerstown Honda. I bought a brand new 2008 Accord loaded and the power door locks have went out, the engine had issues at start up and now the stee Hagerstown Honda. The service department replaced the bearings and called and said the car was fixed. I drove over to Hagerstown Honda (about 30 minutes), got into my car and the steering wheel moves side to side and all around in the locked position. I could have died if I drove this car home on the interstate. More
