On October 12th my wife tried starting our new Kia, that had only 2,507 miles on it. The Kia started but flashed a warning about the accessories creating a drain. She turned the car off hoping it would re had only 2,507 miles on it. The Kia started but flashed a warning about the accessories creating a drain. She turned the car off hoping it would reset, but then it would not start. I called the Kia service department to see what should be done and they said I could bring it in on November the 2nd. At that point my wife and I went to the dealership. I went to the salesperson, who had sold the Kia to me. The salesperson and service manager worked things out. I called the roadside service and got the Kia started and I drove it to the dealership. They replaced the battery. My thought was if you have a problem with a new Kia you should be able to bring it to the dealership and have them do a quick diagnostic to determine what needs to be done, and then work out timing for when it could be fixed. More
Had to take my car in for a recall notice. Made an appointment over the phone and they knew ahead of time what parts would be needed but they didn't bother to order them ahead of time. I took my car in the day of the appointment and because they didn't have the parts ready they couldn't complete the work needed. They said they would order the parts and for me to go back on Friday. Friday comes and I show up for my appointment, they did NOT have the parts and did NOT bother to call me before my appointment to let me know so I had taken off work and drove over there for no reason. I was told to come back on Monday. Monday comes around, no call that to say the parts were there so this time I didn't even bother wasting my time and gas going in. Tuesday comes around, again no call. Late Tuesday, I finally get a call saying the parts were there and to come in the following day. I take my car in on Wednesday and get a text about my tires needed to be replaced. This comes as a surprise to me because I took my car in for the recall not for an inspection or anything else but I'm hoenstly not surprised they're attempting to upsale. What I was surprised about was that they said it was found thanks to a "complementary inspection" which later they changed to a "mandatory inspection" that I had the right to refuse but they never even mentioned it in the first place. Another thing that caught me by surprise is that they happened to find this the second time I took the car in and not the first time when they had done the "complementary inspection". I tell them that's fine and that I will get the tired replaced on my own and not with them. I finally go pick my car up and there's a ton of dirty handprints and smudges all over the roof of my car, the front where the glove box is and essentially everywhere the technician touched. Horrible! Would not recommend this place, if you can avoid it, do yourself the favor and go somewhere else. Although I didn't come here for a car purchase and just a service instead, I honestly wouldn't trust to buy a car here next time it's time for me to purchase a car. More
