Richard in the Kia service dept. was prompt and courteous. He kept me informed to what was available if I needed a ride and what was available in the waiting room. I made an appointment to bring my optima in and was told on the phone that the service advisor would be able to give us an eta of how long they would have my car, go over any issues I was having, and also on the phone that the service advisor would be able to give us an eta of how long they would have my car, go over any issues I was having, and also look if there was any recalls on my car. When I showed up for my appointment I was told that I didn’t have an appointment and they wouldn’t be able to get to my car til the end of the day. The advisor basically dismissed every problem I explained I was having and gave an excuse as to why it wouldn’t be covered under my warranty. He seemed rushed, asked if we wanted a car wash then sent us on our way and said he’d call if they had to keep the car over night. I never received any update on my car and had to be the one to call in and find out they were keeping my car over night and no courtesy vehicle was offered. The advisor said it would be done by 12 noon the next day and again no one called to update me on the car and I had to be the one to call in at 130pm to find out it was done and they couldn’t find anything wrong with my car. I went it to pick up the car and they asked to do a test drive with the mechanic tech and I was asked by multiple people if I was leaving the car overnight again. Why would I leave the car again if they couldn’t find anything wrong. I found out in the test drive that the advisor never gave the tech the pictures and videos I had provided of the issues with my car and the advisor also never checked for any recalls. The advisor who was helping me in the second day Disappeared and I had to re-explain my problems to 3 different people. I also never got straight answers if my issues would be covered by warranty and still don’t have my questions answered. I’ve been to other Kia service departments in other cities but the one in Bakersfield is always terrible and they have no concern for their customers and give you the run around. And my car never got washed. More

The lovely people in the service department are very help full. I've taken my car three times for service and every visit has been wonderful. Have had one nightmare after another with my car there ... huge issues with my battery and then after it was all said and done refunded me purchases price!!!! Then I just had my car in to have the seat repaired first day they had the wrong heart second day wrong part third day they got the wrong part my car was there a week and a half and they had to give it back to me and they still don’t have the part to fix my car it’s been horrible!!!! People are nice that work there but it’s just been a cluster of problems then when my car was in the shop trying to get my seat fixed with the wrong part three times my car ended up getting dented and scratched and they now have to fix that too!! More
