He expedited the process knowing full well that I could not be without my car very long since I had lost 2 auto because of flooding. My auto was returned looking and performing as good as new. Upon entrring the service area, Steve was there to greet me and had over the keys. This was not the first time I have dealt with Steve and it certainly will not be the last. I dealt with their dealer and really thought I would buy a car from them. After spending time with me and locating different cars, they found the one that I wanted. Then we started discussing price and th a car from them. After spending time with me and locating different cars, they found the one that I wanted. Then we started discussing price and the wheels fell off the deal. The salesman told me on a Friday that I had to wait until Saturday to come in and speak with the GM for any further discount. (Like no one is available via email.) Anyway, I told the salesman that I would be going to Rallye later that night and the saleman emailed and asked that I come back to him so he could match or beat the price. I did go to Rallye and was minutes from buying a car but walked out specifically to go back to this dealership to get them to match the price. (Seems like I did the legwork for BMW of BayShore) I spoke with the salesperson about the price and the deal that Rallye offered. He said they might be able to match the deal, but that I would have to finance through BMW. ALL ALONG I HAD TOLD THEM ABOUT THE FINANCING THAT I HAD THAT WAS ALMOST 1.5% LOWER THAN BMW. Anyway, I told them no since financing through BMW would have meant more that $1,000 in uselesss interest payments. They told me that financing was a condition to the deal so they could get a $1,000 incentive from BMW. Anyway, I told them that it would make no sense to take their deal and finance through them because I would LOSE money. The saleman also told me that he doubted that Rallye was offering the deal they said they were. WHAT REALLY ANGERED ME WAS OVERHEARING THE SALESPERSON AND UB (THE GM) TALK AND HEARING THE GM SAY THAT I WILL BE BACK. They were wrong and I was angry that I did the right thing and returned to the original dealer (as they asked) and then was treated with such disrespect and doubt about what Rallye had said. They wasted my time. At the end of the day - I bought a new car from Rallye and highly recommend that dealer. It really seems the other BMW dealers on Long Island are second-rate compared to Rallye. Bought my BMW from Chris Abbatiello at Habberstad BMW recently and the experience was great !!! Every step in the process was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and SUPER patient with the 1000's of quest recently and the experience was great !!! Every step in the process was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and SUPER patient with the 1000's of questions I had. This was the 3rd dealership I tried when I was ready for a new purchase and the first two weren't even close to my experience with Chris Abbatiello and the rest of Bayshore Habberstad. As a bonus, once the sale was done and I had possession of my car I've had further questions regarding my car and I've been treated like the sale hasn't been made yet, IE. I wasn't pushed aside because the sale had already been made. This is by far the most impressive part of my experience with Chris and I will no doubt be buying my next car (Which will definitely be another BMW) from Chris Abbatiello. More
I recently purchased my first BMW 328XI from Habberstad. i have been to a few BMW dealerships on Long Island. I was not pleased at all. He told me I needed to shop around to get the best car and price that fits me. I met with him the following day. he had a couple of cars lined up for me based on our conversation the evening before. He was REAL patient with me. He answered every question I had from beginning to end. He went beyond what he was supposed to do. I met him on a Friday and purchased my car the following Friday. He answered every question and concern in between without making me feel like he was more interested in making the sale then making me happy with a huge purchase. Chris just sold me my first BMW. He was awesome and could not have been more helpful. He was able to get the car sooner than expected and gave me daily updates on the status of the car. The service I got from Chris Conigliaro beat my expectations! I was leaving work when all of the sudden my air shock suspension on the back left side broke. I didn't know what to do so I drove it straight to BMW of Bay Shore. I was a little concerned with them blowing me off since I didn't make any appointments but, it was an emergency. I was very happy when they paired me up right of way with Chris Abbatiello as my client adviser. He is GREAT! He explained to me what had happened and I felt comfortable leaving my truck with them. He did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. I was lucky that all the work was covered under warranty. Chris hooked me up with a beautiful loaner car and kept me informed of the progress with my truck every day. My experienced with Chris was so great that my husband decided to use him as well as his client adviser. More
