Did I really just "enjoy" buying a car??? Dave Ortiz. was truly the best "car salesman" I've ever met. Mostly because he wasn't the typical sales person we all have had to deal with while buy Dave Ortiz. was truly the best "car salesman" I've ever met. Mostly because he wasn't the typical sales person we all have had to deal with while buying a car. He knew the answers to ALL my questions or went and found the answer. He didn't push. He didn't leave that slimy afterglow of the 'typical' sales person. Quiet, but yet informative, to sum him up. Randy, at first, didn't give me the deal I wanted on my car, but he was kind and polite. I left without a car. He called me later in the week to see if there was anything I wasn't satisfied with. And asked what he could do to earn my business. As a self employed person, I know how important the follow up calls are. I know how important it is to EARN business. On my second trip back, I was ready to buy, I did get the deal I wanted for my car. I felt like it was a win/win. H & H got a good deal, I got a good deal, it all worked out. I don't mind them making money, but I also want to feel like I was getting a good deal. They did, I did. I can't remember how many times others in the building asked if I wanted something to drink. I can't remember how many people said "hi, how are you". The finance guy, Michael B. was great also. He went over everything, knowing it wasn't our first rodeo, he just wanted to share what they offered, but didn't push. ALWAYS the worse time when buying a car is dealing with all the pushy people that stuff things down your throat. I never had a glimmer of that from anyone. We laughed, joked around, talked about family, kids. I left truly feeling like I was apart of the H & H family. (Waiting for the dinner invitations to follow :) ) I started this review saying, "Did I really just "enjoy" buying a car???" Yes, yes I did. As corny as it sounds, I do feel like I made new friends. A first for me!! 26 years of marriage (so far) and I bought a dreamy car just for me. (Optima SXL) Fully loaded and then some. I bought my very first car 34 years ago. I bought my used (can't tell, it feels NEW) Optima and it feels like I went to a spa and brought it home with me. Looking forward to buying another H & H car one day soon for my wonderful husband to drive to work. Thankfully I know where to go for that one! More
lemon on lot I bought a 2009 Kia Borrego on July 11, 2014. On January 13, 2015 my check engine light came on, along with all the dash warning lights, and my speed I bought a 2009 Kia Borrego on July 11, 2014. On January 13, 2015 my check engine light came on, along with all the dash warning lights, and my speedometer quit working. When I tried to park my Borrego, it would not go past neutral. I called the service department and told them my situation. Marty, a GM, contacted me and put me in a loaner vehicle while I wait for mine to get looked at. I received a call from Rich, another GM, stating I had a bad ABS pump and module. The cost for repair for this is $1740.00. I think this is absolutely ridiculous to have to pay almost $2000.00 for repairs on a car that I bought 6 months ago. Rich then told me the best he can do is cover half of the repair costs. This is still almost $1000.00. Also, when I brought my car in to be serviced for the first time in November 2014, I was given a sheet that showed everything that was inspected. When my check engine light came on, which was 2 months after my oil change, I popped the hood and noticed corrosion on the battery which was under a cap. When I asked the service dept if this would of been checked at my last servicing, I was told it would not of been checked if the cap was on. However, I have the service sheet stating the battery was checked...... So not only is their service department not checking things they are saying they are checking, but also how do I know the inspections to the cars prior to going on the lot are being performed correctly? I have been burned by this dealership not once but twice now. I feel completely taken advantage of. It concerns me that this is the quality of cars that are on this lot, and the sales people are comfortable selling it to consumers. All I wanted was a dependable/safe car that would fit a family of 6. What I got was a loan payment on a car that will be sitting in my driveway until I can come up with $2000.00. In addition to having to find transportation for myself and my family as we are a 1 car household. It is very unfortunate that I have to write such a disappointing review as I was hoping my relationship with H&H Kia would be a long, positive one. More

Unacceptable behavior, poor business practices I would love to leave a glowing review for this dealership and it's staff. But instead I'm taking the time to let H&H Kia's upper management and prosp I would love to leave a glowing review for this dealership and it's staff. But instead I'm taking the time to let H&H Kia's upper management and prospective buyers- particularly in the military, police/fire and medical communities, know just how poorly trained the staff are, and how less than mediocre their business practices are. Lets start with the poor customer service upon walking in the door with a USAA car buying services certificate to purchase a brand new vehicle: "We don't like it that USAA does this, we do not like to honor these prices..." says Daniel the sales rep. H&H Kia is a participating dealership with USAA's program, and voluntarily so. I would imagine that service members and others who utilize USAA would be interested to know that H&H Kia doesn't actually like to honor the terms of USAA at all! Then lets move along to the deplorable treatment I received with Daniel, Blake who works in Finance and Marty who is the GM: Daniel appears not to be able to communicate or understand himself the terms of the purchase contract- and he cannot articulate them to the finance dept, nor the GM either. Daniel also likes to "omit" certain qualified buyers incentives, and "add in" other terms/conditions that weren't ever discussed. Thankfully, I caught these mistakes each and every time Daniel put new papers in front of me for my review- much to his disliking though- as his poor attitude continued to deepen. Blake, in finance wanted to take the opportunity to argue with me in an attempt to overshadow his numerous errors, even though a simple acknowledgment and corrections of the errors would have been fine. But instead, Blake took the moment to openly argue with an A+ credit buyer that the "errors" in financing (qualified for 0%) and "errors" in purchase price were there all along and I must have read them wrong- all 5+ times Daniel placed the papers in front of me. The GM- Marty- who should have the skills and tools needed to swoop in and correct any confusion or miscommunication, instead offered me the solution of "We are not going to sell you a car today. I think its better that we part ways." Marty lacks the experience, training and tools necessary to educate staff in the finance dept of their mistakes, and assist the sales rep in completing the purchase contract WITHOUT errors and omissions. I spent 4.5 hrs at H&H Kia to buy a brand new car. An A+ credit buyer, qualified and ready to purchase (and trade in!) who spent 2 hours entirely too long because of the poor business practices and customer service of (sadly) three individual members of 3 individual depts. I want to warn others that H&H Kia doesn't appreciate their partnership with USAA, which they volunteered for, they do not treat their customers with respect, they offer misrepresentations in their contracts which I carefully found and pointed out, their finance dept could use a retraining and the general management (if salvageable) could use a refresher in customer service, conflict resolution and mentoring skills to staff within his overseeing the dealership. H&H Kia could stand to learn a thing or two from other dealerships in the area and I implore H&H Kia to offer a skilled redirection with their staff. More
Terrible customer service and service department I want to preface this review by first saying that I enjoy my Kia and this has nothing to do with the actual vehicle. I have had the worst custome I want to preface this review by first saying that I enjoy my Kia and this has nothing to do with the actual vehicle. I have had the worst customer service experiences at H & H Kia. I experienced horrible customer service during the purchase of my vehicle and the terrible customer service continues every time I drop off my car to be serviced. During my most recent experience I had to take my vehicle in 4 times before it was repaired correctly. All the customer service manager did was make excuses and tell me how this is not actually an inconvenience because H & H offers free rental cars. Really!? You're right, driving all the way across town during rush hour between full time work and full time school at night is not an inconvenience... Then she acted like they were doing me a favor by "fixing my car for free" even though it's all under warranty. Never once did she acknowledge my frustration or apologize for the situation. DO NOT BUY YOUR KIA FROM H & H KIA. More
