We are currently leasing a Kia Forte from H & H Kia. The windshield was hit by a rock on the road, not an uncommon occurrence, resulting in a large crack. We took the car into KIA to get the windshield replaced over a month ago. We were told that they had to order a windshield and that they would let us know when it was in. It has been over a month and we have not heard back. We have tried calling but every time we get transferred to the service department, nobody answers. It really should not take a month to get a windshield. More
Three strikes! 1-Terrible Communication. Starting with initial car search inquiry: was told I would be contacted when the car I liked was ready to go on lot. Did not. The salesman acted as if bothered by initial car search inquiry: was told I would be contacted when the car I liked was ready to go on lot. Did not. The salesman acted as if bothered by my test drive appt, offering no guidance then leaving me hanging when asked for details. After waiting 10 mins, I finally asked the receptionist to tell Jarod I had to leave -not knowing if he forgot me- he then was right by my side by the time I made it to the door. He handed me a print out of a quote on the car I didn't want and absolutely none of the "see dealership for details" I requested. Very unprofessional all around. And, the Financial guy, Philipe, was the worst! Every time I'd ask a qtn or start to read the ppwk, he all but rolled his eyes with a negative sigh. His demeanor toward me (prejudice to women?) was uncomfortable and insulting to say the very least as he acted annoyed and huffy while talking down to me throughout the entire process. Yes, I did ask if there was a problem because he seem annoyed with my wanting to know details of what I was signing. He replied that he'd already explained then as he was going. Really? He rushed through everything. Grunted at my adding the cost for a maintenance prgm to my down pymt rather than tackling it to my loan amount. (If not rushed, I would have paid for the ext warranty then, too. Why pay interest on that!?). 2-Sticker Price was not price of car. They list the add-ons and freight charges on the sticker price total but NOT their (H&H's) outrageously overpriced decision to (supposedly) put paint and underbody protection on for you at a cost of almost $4k! Yes, I planned on having it done; but, at a cost of $600 at a place where professionals specialize in this service. Note: they did, then, reduce this total by half. Still well above my quoted amount. And, still, not displayed or mentioned in their showroom or bargaining price. Unethical practice. 3- Constant Chaos. They set up an appt for me to come back in to sign ppwk they'd forgotten. Waited and waited because items were in Philipe's office, who just sat down with me buyer's, rather than leaving them with the receptionist's similar files. While waiting, I recognized the same tactic used each of the 3 times I've been there. "Sorry for the delay. We've just been busier than usual with this same were having." No they weren't. I sat there and watched them joking around together before people came in when they'd scurry off into the closed office area. It's just a line used to trick the potential buyer into thinking they better jump on a deal before somebody else gets it. We all have a general idea of how car buying works. Even doing my 'homework' didn't prepare me for such disappointment at this dealership. Regarding the Kia I purchased, I'm very pleased, so far. More
