Went to Gurnee Dodge for the purchase of a new 2021 Dodge Durango. They ended up not having the one we wanted but Alonzo(Salesman) found another one from another nearby dealer. Ugh. Never again. Found the Prius we wanted but could not get in there until Saturday. Emailed back and forth with TJ, pleasant enough. Got the kids ready and drove up....only to find out when we got there that the car sold last night. Checked my email and saw that I received an email AS I was talking to the sales representative from TJ saying that the car sold. Complete waste of our time and COMPLETELY avoidable. All I got from James our sales representative was a shrug and sorry. More
!!! B U Y E R B E W A R E !!! What started as a decent experience quickly went down hill far and fast. We found a new 2020 Durango this dealership was going to trade for us, we even negotiated and put dow experience quickly went down hill far and fast. We found a new 2020 Durango this dealership was going to trade for us, we even negotiated and put down a $500 deposit, but it took several days to receive a call to come pick it up. It ended up being sold so Tyson Cook (our sales rep) quickly found us a “similar” new Durango, except it was missing 2 major features, a sunroof and roof racks. Tyson promised me if I purchased the similar model they would add all mopar & OEM factory parts as if I we purchased it from the factory. So they wrote up a “ WE OWE” note saying “Sun roof and Roof racks”. Little did we know they purposely made it vague so that they could install aftermarket parts, and that’s exactly what they did. Our brand new $50k vehicle now looks HORRENDOUS and is 100% DEVALUED. After complaining and trying to resolve this bait and switch they’ve pulled over the past month, they’re now telling us there is nothing they can do and are trying to place blame on a company they outsourced the installation to. They’re now wanting us to trade in our BRAND NEW vehicle as a USED car to be upside down and purchase another model from their crooked lot. I have purchased 3 cars from this dealership and have referred them several times, but I guess loyalty doesn’t matter to these cheats. From now on I will be telling friends, family, and others the exact opposite, that they’ll want to look elsewhere and think twice about handing their hard earned money to this rat infested company. We are expecting a new baby in a few months and really didn’t need this type of headache and stress that’s been caused by stereotypical dirty car salesman tactics from Gurnee Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. We are absolutely disgusted how this establishment continues treating us worse than dirt as they walk all over us. More
We are from Madison, WI, and we were in the market for newer Honda Civic. Gurnee Dodge had a 2019 Honda Civic listed for a good price. We called the dealership to see if we could negotiate the price with newer Honda Civic. Gurnee Dodge had a 2019 Honda Civic listed for a good price. We called the dealership to see if we could negotiate the price with them, but the manager told us we had to come in person before talking about pricing. When we finally pushed him (because it’s a 2+ hour drive), he said he’d be able to work with us around our budget. So we drove south to the dealership and arrived for our appointment with the manager. However, we were handed a random sales person with whom we had not spoken before (not the manager, as we were promised). He made several off-kilter jokes about marriage being horrible (because my fiancé and I are getting married in August), Christmas music being awful, and Madison being a terrible place to live. When we finally got to test drive the car, the seatbelt buckles were chewed (like by a dog) and there was much more damage to the front of the car than previously anticipated. We looked at the photos, and these damages were intentionally left out of the photos. Additionally, the car was actively leaking fluid when we parked and inspected it. When we came back, the salesman made us put in our offer first even though we insisted to hear the first offer from their side. Throughout the visit, he also pressed us several times to reveal whether or not we were paying in cash or financing (this tipped us off to assume all they care about is money). When we brought up our concerns about the seatbelt buckles and body damages, he antagonized us, saying “well, seat buckles only cost $80” and “why don’t you go show me where those damages are because I know they’re in the photos”. Finally, we decided to leave because they refused to give us any leeway on the listed price. Then, as we’re walking out, a man (who we assume is the manager but didn’t address himself) confronts us, saying “I thought we were going to make a deal”. He didn’t address our concerns about the car at all, and he kept pressing us about our other options, trying to discredit other dealerships. He also tried to down our great credit, calling it “light” (we’re 23 years old with no loans). All in all, a horrible experience here. We were very disappointed. It gave us a bad feeling throughout the visit, and it’s obvious that all they care about is money. The whole time, we felt like we were on the defensive. We ended up going 20 minutes down the road to Pauly Honda in Libertyville, IL, and there, we were treated like people instead of a number. With our experience, we are very sad (but earnest and serious) in saying that we would never recommend anyone to go here to purchase their vehicle. More
The sales service at Dodge Jeep Gurnee needs to be improved. Spent over three hours, with no other customers in the place, buying a car. They took their time on EVERYTHING they did! At the end of the sale, the car I decided on was not at that dealership so I was told it would arrive the next day. After I was done with all the paperwork and getting ready to leave, I was asked what time I would be in the next day to pick up the car. I thought it was nice the sales rep asked that to make sure it would be there, I said I would be there between 3pm and 4pm, the sales rep said “no problem”. The next day at 2pm, the sales rep called me and said they are having trouble getting the car there. I had already moved my appointments around for the day and told him it had to be there at the agreed time. The sales rep said “I will see what I can do”, I had to go there anyway to finish paperwork on the purchase and was told the sales rep would be back in 40 minutes with the car. That was at 3:30pm, the car did not show up until 5:30pm. I am not sure how 40 minutes turned into 2 hours? The whole time the manager on duty hid in his office and did not even come out to see me until the rep was 20 minutes away. This place did not act professional and has zero respect for their customers. I like the cars, but will never shop there again and make sure others do the same. More

Tyson was good to deal with, but the managers play the typical games with the numbers. Very disappointing experience. More

Terrible actions happened to my boyfriend after we returned a leased car in August. Since it was a lease we returned it with the license plates on the vehicle, someone at the dealership did not do the returned a leased car in August. Since it was a lease we returned it with the license plates on the vehicle, someone at the dealership did not do their job ( imagine that) . The plates were stolen at the dealership and we have been dealing with numerous red light tickets and unpaid tolls that have been flooding in. We did file a police report, but that hasn't stopped it. This is a terrible headache for us and the dealership should be ashamed of how this was handled! If I could leave a zero star review I would... More
