I purchased a jeep in 2019, and when we were sent into the finance department with Jerry, he told us about this AMAZING package we can buy with the vehicle since they have speciality tires. For $3,500 my the finance department with Jerry, he told us about this AMAZING package we can buy with the vehicle since they have speciality tires. For $3,500 my tires will be fixed or replaced as long as I own the car. I thought to myself, tires are expensive, I plan on owning this car for 10+ years, this wouldn’t be a bad thing but.....wait. I asked him, “is this like when you buy a diamond ring, and you have to bring it in to be serviced or checked every 6 months, or do I NEED to do anything specific?” He looked at me and said “nope. You just buy it.” Oh but little did I find out, you don’t just buy it. I went in yesterday May 17, 2021 to service my tire. First thing I said was, “I have the tire warranty” young man says “I’ve only been here for 3 weeks not sure how that works, but I’ll find out” about half hour into my apt, he comes into the lobby and says “we can fix it, for $40” I said “why? What about the tire package I bought?” He brings me this pamphlet and says “well you should have had this pamphlet and had it all filled out will ALL these services according to the plan, but you don’t. So it’s voided.” I said “whoa wait. First of all, I NEVER received a pamphlet, and I ALSO WAS TOLD I DID NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SPECIFIC TO KEEP THIS WARRANTY IN PLACE. I was TOLD all I had to do was buy it! So you are telling me I just got scammed $3,500!!!? He asked me to hang on and went and got his manager. His manager comes back with the same pamphlet, and says “since you are at 38,000 miles, I can offer to start you at the 30,000 mile package BUT you would have to pay $1,100. 🤣🤔🤔 wait what? Did you just ask me to pay you another $1,100 on top of the $3,500 that was just scammed from me? I was NEVER told about any pamphlet, or any rules I had to follow, I was told nothing! You have got to be kidding me! So he proceeds to say, “unfortunately you are NOT the only one who’s complained about this, well let me see if we can AT LEAST comp you the $40 to fix the tire.” What! Like $40 is going to cover the fact that your company just stole $3,500 from me!! So I walked out of there, with a “comped” $40 tire fix, and $3,500 in their pocket that they scammed me and DID NOTHING to try to fix! This company are crooks! Do not buy cars from them! I’m sure they will try to weasel their way into scamming you some kind of way. Maybe Jerry was hired to trick customers into getting GREAT deal and for someone who’s been working there for many years conveniently denies telling you the important details of this amazing program. Who knows, maybe Jerry gets bonus’s for every person scammed? This is crazy. Just like that piece of paper you try to scare everyone with that you make sign in the finance department about not suing, maybe you should know that people don’t need to sign the that first of all, and second if you did. Don’t worry. Don’t be scared ;-) More
