Skip buying a vehicle from Daytona Beach Gunther dealership as it will become your worst nightmare, once the deal is done, they could care less about you, and they are unprofessional and rude makin dealership as it will become your worst nightmare, once the deal is done, they could care less about you, and they are unprofessional and rude making it the most horrible experience you will ever have buying a vehicle and you will never want to return When purchasing a vehicle from Gunther Volvo, the finance manager sells you all types of Warranty products. One for a fact that I know is worthless is there Appearance Protection as it does not cover dents, dings and scratches, so you are told they will. Then to top it off, When you’re financing your vehicle, they can mess up the paperwork in which you have to go through the finance company to get the finances corrected. The reason is even after advise them directly and they claim they handled it, they don’t follow thru. Then when you call a second time to advise the finance manager who is unavailable and you leave a message they don’t return your call. The end result is you have to go to the finance company and have them correct the problem and they will contact the dealership and get the proper paperwork. Then they call you with a rude and arrogance and claim they can monitor and check all your phone calls to verify you were not there. You didn’t call and you did nothing and you gave them a bad review and they complain. If they would do their job and treat their customer with value and respect they would get a good review. My advice, do not purchase a vehicle from Daytona Beach Gunther Dealerships, you will be much happier person following that advice. More
Poor service department experience. Charged $397.00 for a lousy oil change and fuel and oil additive. I like this dealership, we always got our last xc40 serviced there and we were treated nicely so rather than buy a new one in Jax we drove the extra miles to Daytona and they delivered the car the next serviced there and we were treated nicely so rather than buy a new one in Jax we drove the extra miles to Daytona and they delivered the car the next day. New Volvo 2019 S60 Momentum I traded in a 2018 S60 Inscription for 2019 S60 Momentum. I was first met by Christine Mullen who asked if she could be of assistance. I said I was I traded in a 2018 S60 Inscription for 2019 S60 Momentum. I was first met by Christine Mullen who asked if she could be of assistance. I said I was not really looking to buy, but wanted to see the 2019 S60. We talked and looked at one in the showroom. She knew I could be interested since my first Volvo was a 1972 mustard yellow (Ugh) 5 door wagon. Upon asking about a possible purchase, Diane Karel who had sold me the 2018 popped up. The rest is history. These two ladies handled the proposal and counter proposal, resulting in the sale. It was done easily and professionally. Thank you ladies. This car is head and shoulders over the 2018. I can't believe it is the same series. I'm a happy customer. More
Better then expected I wrote the sales person a nice thank you letter and he asked if I could copy and paste my letter. (I think he was impressed I name the car after him.) I bought a used Toyota and I drove a long way to see it. The sales person, Alden Tupy was nice and didn't push the car. I was even able put the vehicle on a lift to see under the car. Also, they didn't charge more for not trading in a car or having financing with them. The process went smooth and the vehicle was better then they described. They said come in anytime for a free car wash, since I drove 200 to buy the car, I don't think I will be taking them up on that. Here is the copy of what I wrote him: "The car ran fine on the way home. I found the Jimmy Buffett channel on XM radio and listened to that. It has the best stereo I have had in a car. A bit more power, a bit bigger, but it is still a 4Runner. Thank you for your help, especially getting my car on the lift and getting me an ice cream bar, I was a bit hungry. I am very pleased with the way your company handled the transaction and I am very pleased in getting basically a brand new (white) 4Runner. In closing, I am sending a picture of the 4Runner(s). I get confused which one is which, so we named them. The 2001 (pictured in the middle has 242,000 miles and is called the Old Mule, the 2004 with 198,000 miles is called the Beast and the 2018 with 6,000 miles is called the Alden.
